overreaction again

Boston didn't dominated this game... they convert their scoring chance contrairly to leafs. Its a game who could easily finish 4-1 for leafs. Toronto was as good than what they did vs NYR, thats just didn't connect tonight.

hard game by lilly and willy tonight.

suck we lost but its not end of the world. Its more important to convert on playoff tha gm 61 of regular season
absolutely. easily could have been 4-1 for us.
just a couple bad bounces that didn't go our way.
next time we'll get 'em.

This is the kind of game you always think is lurking around the corner when they have their big stretches, like when do they stop caring again and mail it in...
I don't think they don't care, I think they don't know how, or what to do, to play in these types of games. The way they normally play goes against what you have to do in games like this. They aren't consistent in close combat situations for full games.

If it is not that, then that means they are not willing to do what it takes, and I don't feel that is the case.

They were hardly alone, Bertuzzi was largely ineffective, Nylander was meh, Domi other than the one shot didn't do much.

That felt like every game 7 over the past 7 seasons tbh.

Bruins just so smart or is it coaching? They take everything away in the middle and guide you to the boards where they dominate you. Along the boards your options are minimal.
Leafs played slow tonight too, they allowed the Bruins to be on them quickly (move the puck faster!).
Hard to believe this team is playoff ready and it will be the same story. This was a statement game on many levels.
1) you have already lost to them twice
2) home ice
3) close in the standings and able to cut into the gap.
4) way not enough compete against a team you know will bring it.
Not acceptable!

Well, I guess the obvious question is what the heck do they have meetings about year after year at Maple Leaf HQ? Like do they just 'believe' in each other or actually talk about why they struggle in those big games in an open way, and then use the 82 games to rehearse, refine and adapt their games? I dunno, who cares.

MATH LESSON EVERYONE!!!

What is a "Perimeter"?

Leafs going 0-4 on the powerplay will kill them in the postseason. It’s the same story every playoffs where our powerplay disappears in the playoffs and we lose games by a one or two goal margin because our special teams couldn’t hack it. Tonight was a prime example, Bruins got momentum while we were a man up. That’s horrible.

At least we weren’t shutout. Thank you John.
earning that 11 million dollar paycheck lol

it does suck that he was the only one willing to muck it up and dig around for pucks

they put the core 3 together for an ozone shift and both marner and nylander just looked at each other expecting the other one to dig for pucks.

Powerplay, PK and goaltending. We need to get all 3 going.

They need a new coach to figure that part out.

I think that is a GREAT question/comment. Hard to believe it's anything other than looking at each other and saying 'luv you man' and 'we'll get it done next year'.

Problem is, after Marner is signed next summer, they are all coming back for eternity. I dunno what the long game is here... but I feel like this is Hot Shots! Part Huit.
