why isn't it Jack's fault ?

2 more muffins tonight and couldn't make 1 big save in o/t , also another year of our goalie being outplayed by the opposing tender

and Jack has 1 more game to prove himself or we move him in the summer and roll the dice with 2 new tenders next season
Is a goalie change the only big change your saying?

That won't due anything for this team

Marner has to be traded if we want to make a move.

Nylander has played himself onto the team for next year. Marner needs to be dealt. If we bring him back then it's going to be Bruins in 7 again

That’s a bit much. He’s still good enough to be a 1A/1B. He doesn’t need to be moved, I’d still give him a year and then think about anything like that

I will be watching Game 7, just to see Hyman one last time in a leafs uniform, he will be gonzo this summer I believe.... I loved that mans passion as a leaf!
I hope not man, one of the only players who's willing to put it all on the line for our club

“Money” goalies like Price make the big saves when their teams need it the most. That’s exactly what he did... unlike Campbell. But Campbell is a colossal bust and a fringe NHL goalie so we shouldn’t expect much.
Campbell has close to a .950 save percentage and gets paid 1.6M. He's been great and is providing 10x the value guys like Matthews and Marner are

If you were a GM, why would you want Marner at this point. This is the easiest matchup he'll ever get again in the playoffs and he's done nothing.
well some teams need to sell tickets and win regular-season games so they will want his regular-season play and if they get to the playoffs that is bonus money for them even if it is 2 home games

Marner for Kuznetsov + Wilson/Oshie is another deal I make
Not sure how much life he has left in him, but Kane is the guy I keep thinking about.

Guys a gamer, loves the spotlight and elevates his play in big moments with a proven track record. Chicago needs to retool/rebuild and get younger. We need players who love the spotlight

I'm on 37 years... cannot affort to throw away my pensionable time... I'll buy your stuff... for cheap because it's all worthless... I'll skip the socks and underwear :thumbu:

I’m in same boat. Choking to the Habs is the final straw for me. Gonna find a different hobby

Goalie excuse is not going to work this time when guys like Spezza at age 37 can find the net three times and you can't find it once as a superstar like Marner or once in the case of Matthews.

It's one game.

I am sure the Leafs will be favored to win it but when has that ever stopped them from losing?[/QUOT joe Thorton have as many goals as Matthews and more then junior mint and all fans do is complain about Joe
Thorton

Anybody who thinks Keefe is fired without Dubas being fired is delusional. I’m calling it now, no changes to top 4 players and management.

My take on this series is they're getting inside their own heads.
Performances aside they're falling into a trap and gripping sticks a bit too tight.

I hope they just accept they have ruined the series and throw caution to the wind.
Play the game like they can.
I will be out of coverage till the game is over Monday....Tuesday for me. Might be a blessing.

Game 7 doesn't matter now. This team ain't winning the cup. If they win Monday, great, but then when they run out of gas in game 7 against the Jets, or in the semis or throw up a brick in the finals, we'll be able to look back at Thursday and tonight and think, that's where we lost it, the inability to step on the Habs' necks and close this out, depriving themselves of the extra rest that just about every other round 1 winner got, in a division whose playoffs were already rushed to begin with.

I'd be happy with a series win so we at least have something positive to think about, but even that looks unlikely with the key injuries we have. I expect Folgino to pull his groin getting out of bed Monday morning.

Play Thornton on Monday. Who cares anymore.

Go out for a skate Jumbo. Hall of Famer. I hope they put a video tribute up on the scoreboard for his last game. Great career Jumbo! Thanks for.....your locker room .....stuff.

Yeah they were the problem

Just because they are low playing players doesn't mean they don't have to contribute

Joe gets quality pp and our pp sucks. Simmonds supposed to hit but so far he has been run over

They are definitely part of the problem

Did you watch the first period at all? How many times has he been left out to dry and saved the day? He was weak alst game and the same weak goal through the wickets again tonight, but we weould have been down three with Andy. Not that that is and excuse, but he has been clucth this year.

That's the kiss of death - any player who bleeds blue and white ain't allowed to stay.

Summed up my thoughts perfectly.

This series should have been over in 5.

That’s what I call a superstar. Ours are frauds

So... I know we hate the B's... but I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they play, I love their ability to bring it, and I love that their stars step up in big moments. I have admired it for years... and continue to do so.

I suppose I am longingly looking at something I wish we had... but they are the model imo.

Maybe the 1 series win changes everything? I'd like to see that play out so we can see if that is the case... I assume we won't get that chance.

Lol. Keep parroting meaningless stats. Price makes the key saves at critical moments. The Leafs best goalie is sitting on the bench.

Then they can expect the same results. You can’t open the same book and expect a different ending
