This is what happens when you focus on useless elements like grit and toughness instead of talent.
Hope that crowd of fans are happy.
Thats what cup winners do. They have zero talent, they grit their way to a cup.
But hey, we probably would of won if simmonds ran one of the Canucks players

This is the reason why this team needs more players like Foligno...this team is so immature and fragile mentally...hopefully Foligno is a difference maker for this team.

The worst kind of Leafs fans are all those that will come to this thread saying "we got robbed. We dominated the play and got no puck luck"... That's the biggest "loser" attitude ever. It's ultra competitive sport. There are only winners and losers. I'm sure that's how the guys are feeling tonight.

it’s called not getting wrapped up in one game, we literally dominated them, both eye test and numbers back that up. Campbell let in two brutal goals, that is literally the difference.

If we can get goaltending sorted out we are fine

Can’t wait to see Foligno watch one of our players get hurt and not doing anything about it like everyone else, because despite this teams newfound emphasis on “toughness” and “grit” they seem to be completely neutered.

This is our worst loss since losing to the zamboni driver. Looked like the Canucks were absolutely gassed in the second and ready to literally collapse and we still can't beat them. Why can we never beat terrible teams when we should be killing them?

Good goalie against crap goalie simple as that.
This team will go nowhere this year and that’s a real shame.
This group is such a crappy structure it’s not funny

How in the hell were the refs not able to look into the net and see the puck on that Holtby save...... MITCH f***ING MARNER was pointing to the damn puck.
Marner didn’t seem phased at all when it was called a no goal after review. Seemed like a strange response to something he saw as a for sure goal.

I warned yall before the game it was a stupid media narrative to get involved in that the Canucks were somehow gonna get stomped.

It literally happened earlier in the year with the Stars and they were fine.

The personnel being out hurt the Canucks more than Covid.

Massive game by Holtby as he's the only reason it was even a game......but goalies are part of the team and theirs won it for them.

Anyways, the Leafs were far the better team but I'm more worried about Hyman than the game tbh.

The only truly meaningful thing that happened in this game was the Hyman injury. Fingers crossed that it's not too serious.

bitter loss. Over passing and goaltending let us down. Got time to figure it out but really wtf? This PP is stupid bad

I mean, it’s easy to say this now, but has anyone noticed that Campbell is moving around in the net a lot more, the former economy of movement, always square, he seems a bit more wild in there. His head has always been what held him back, that’s why you don’t completely anoint him until you see a longer run. I hope this is just a blip, because we might be screwed if not.

Zero playoff series wins in 20 years and some people still accuse us of "overreacting". It's equal parts comical and infuriating.

One really has nothing to do with the next. You can still have legitimate concerns about things in their game without the typical overreactions we always see.

This game was nothing like the David Ayers game. And the Leafs didn't no show this in any way.

Because Dubas got rolled in negotiations that’s why. I like much of what he’s done but at least half of those 4 contracts are overpayments.

well in a cap world that is what happens man. 50% of the cap is already allocated; either we move some of that cap to bolster some other positions or you hope that 50% of the cap does something meaningful.

We still ahve to ice 20 man line up each night; when 4 of them take 50% of the cap we gotta fit 16 players within the other 50% not that easy to do and be successful in this league

I could say so much about this team the last two years but what's the sense? It's the Leafs and It's what they do.......perod.
I didn't feel we were a championship caliber team weeks ago and stated as much. Without Hyman (our most important player) turn out the lights.

No Hyman is no cup, there is no maybe lol we have three players who can actually handle playoff hockey.

Hyman
Foligno
Nash

The rest are donkey balls.
