The one thing I was hoping, if they do lose the series to the Panthers that they lose it quickly. 4 or 5 games. That way there's more pressure for big change, instead of losing in 7 and "see, we're so close!"

Our top players were basically invisible in this game.

The Playoffs is different hockey and you need to find more ways to generate offense and our top paid offensive players just haven't been a factor at all in this series.

It really sucks but this core just doesn't seem to be a winning group.

Pretty much this .. they just don't have it.

That series win against Tampa should have been the monkey off of their back but their lack of killer instinct and bad habits of the regular season got magnified in this series and now they've checked out.

This team's problem is Marner.

He plays a style of game that does not work in the playoffs as you don't get the same space.

The entire rest of the team learned to just stand around and wait for the Marner pass that isn't coming.

Matches the eye test fairly accurately with the one exception of Kampf probably being lower thane expected given how well he played.

That was one of the worst games of Marners career since he was a sophomore and got demoted by Babs to the 4th line for a few weeks
