I'm so f***ing tired of hearing this:

“You gotta start with one and give yourself a chance,” head coach Sheldon Keefe said. “Obviously, they’re in full control here. It’s on us now to make it uncomfortable for them and not go away. We still have a tremendous amount of belief in our group.”

Believing in this team is like believing in Santa Claus.

No matter what, everyone should be able to agree that a coach who has no answers needs to go. One of the top reasons it feels the same as every other playoff showing is Keefe has zero clue what he's doing. There's nothing about what the Leafs are doing wrong that should be difficult for any decent hockey mind to understand and fix, but that clearly doesn't apply to Keefe

This is what you get when you open up the vault to a bunch of spoiled rotten kids who have been catered to their whole lives and have been more talented than all their peers until they reach the National Hockey League. All of a sudden they are not the best. They have to do something they have never had to do in their lives, put in more of an effort than they care to. So what do you do? You hire a kid with stars in his eyes that just wants to be their friend. You hire a coach who is afraid to hurt their feelings. Saying that, I do not blame the players. As my old Pappy used to say, "Don't blame the worker that isn't good enough, blame the jerk that hired him in the first place."

for the entire series for CBJ, Habs and now with panthers he has Matthews-Marner joined at the hip. He hasn't broken them.

He broke them versus Tampa, created match-up problems and got something out of it. Against the panthers he hasn't done it even ONCE!

On top of that he decided to play holl who has coninuted to suck ass.

its "EASY" to understand, Keefe's EGO is so massive that he wouldn't think anything else. Keefe is a JOKE

Doesn't care how they're playing - just doubles down on giving 24 min.

Before Game 7 2022:

“All the things that we’ve done all season long, to put ourselves in a position to compete in such a difficult division to secure home ice in a series such as this, to stand in and go toe-to-toe with back-to-back champions — and the fact that we feel our top players are thriving, they’re feeling good, they’re confident — the reaction that we’ve had from our fans and the boost we’ve had from our fans through this series …

“All those things combined, the perseverance, the grit that we’ve shown to come back in these last two games, I just feel like this team has a lot of fight in it and a lot of confidence and belief in what we’re doing. It doesn’t make the game or the challenge with the opponent any easier. But we certainly aren’t uncomfortable going into this game. We’re ready for it.”

Before Game 7 2021:

As much as it sucks how we got here and what we have been through the last couple of games — and we hate it — I really feel, frankly, that we are right we are supposed to be. We are facing a Game 7 situation — a very difficult task — at a time when the other team has momentum, at a time when you start to doubt and question yourself, and people on the outside doubt and question you. You have an opportunity here in Game 7 to embrace that and meet that head-on and push through it.

I think it is an incredible opportunity for our team. I woke up this morning extremely excited for our group. Last night, you feel like shit because of what you have been through. It was right there in overtime, you can end the series, and you don’t get it done.

But you wake up this morning and think about the opportunity the team has with everything that it has been through. Especially for our core guys to have this opportunity on this stage to push through it, I think it is an incredible opportunity, and I am very excited for our opportunity to play tomorrow.

Before Game 5 2020:

I just look at how we have looked here. Even at times when we haven’t liked our team game or the structure hasn’t been what I expect from our team, I think we have had some individual performances that have been really good and are not always showing up on the scoresheet. It has generally been a pretty low-scoring series, but just the effort and the commitment that we are seeing from some guys, I think, are at a higher level than what we have seen from them before. That is what we have been asking for.

Those are the types of things where I am saying I think we deserve it, but that is playoffs, right? On the other side, I am sure they would have many players that they feel the same way about and they feel the same way about their team. It is such a fine line between winning and losing. That is just the way that it goes.

When I look back on it and what we have been through here, we have seen really good progress in the areas that we wanted to improve upon at the beginning of camp. I think that has given us a chance to win games. That is very positive for us here, so we are going to be looking to bring as much as we can here to the final game and really look to bring the whole thing together.

blow up than a re-tool. Re-tool
Blow up is getting rid of "almost" EVERYONE making over 3 AAV.

You sure ?

I dont even think we could do that.

It would start with trading Matthews, unless he could be signed for a tradable contract.

Tavares and Nylander suck together too. He found the perfect way to misuse all 4 of them and refuses to change it up, it's almost impressive how committed he is to failing

That was by far the worst effort I have seen this team put forth in the playoffs. Floridas not an elite team and they have continual played down to their level for three games now. Their front office and coaching staff deserve better they have given them the pieces, faith and preparation to be ready and they still crap the bed. Their fan base deserve better we travel spend tons of energy, time and inflated cash to see them and they still can’t show up. I’m not even mad I’m disgusted with that gutless effort. Shame.

Precisely!

That is why his "i don't understand" remark doesn't go down well with me. Everyone sees it but him. He is repeating the same mistakes and then has the galls to say he doesn't understand. As if his knowledge is perfect and anything else is just wrong.

I think that one of them will be traded, but blowing up the team and starting from scratch would go back to missing the playoffs every year, This team finished 5th out of 32 teams, they're a good team despite what many think and say.
None of that matters if the team lacks the makeup to get it done in the spring. There's no argument against blowing it up. We're losing all these guys for nothing anyway.

We were a soft and fast team that was deadly in transition. We have developed into a possession heavy team that can't create offense in transition....and still kind of soft.

Get rid of this guy for sure.

I'm really concerned about the prep as well. No excuse why these guys aren't ready to go.
