As others have said, nobody would trade for AM unless they had an extension in place before finalizing any deal, keeping him wherever he’s traded.

I think that one of them will be traded, but blowing up the team and starting from scratch would go back to missing the playoffs every year, This team finished 5th out of 32 teams, they're a good team despite what many think and say.

On to da game well what can you say 18-3 for florida on takeaways .. 23-6 in loose puck battles .. it says it all to me from what I see watching this series on an eye test .. cats are completely outskating us very badly and they are also outhustling/outbattling us for pucks .. da recipe will never ever work Keefer ... skill can't be utilized without speed to open up ice .. eventually passes get intercepted and goals get scored .. we can't handle Florida forecheck .. we can't generate any forecheck ourselves .. so Mitchy, Matty and JT are gambling all over ice and losing .. it will never be a winning formula in playoffs although it does work in regular season hockey where guys are not pushing it to their maximums ..

Keefer i am not sure anything will work at this point outside of a tender WIN .. however here is an idear which may throw off Florida .. try Matty Mitch and JT on 1 line and play them in offensive zone faceoffs on every one of them .. tell JT to park himself at net front and get pucks to net like crazy .. then get them off asap .. play ROR Acciari Reese as a shut down line and tell them to make simple dump out plays in our end no risk hockey very boring grit grinder game .. then create a speed line which can generate a forecheck on slow Florida D .. Willy Lafferty and Kerfoot .. Kerfoot goes in on a mission and loosens up a puck and Willy scoops it up with his speed and tell him to get pucks to net at all costs .. Lafferty takes da net front and he will get another one or two .. then insert Kampf when a guy gets tired .. insert Wayner for Jarnkok as he is basically useless in this series .. when Florida goes down late then we have some police on ice for Willy .. Willy needs da support as you can see Florida has recognized our only threat .. thy will try to hurt him late in a blowout type of game

Good luck! Not sure it will work but doing same old same old is insane and will result in a 4 game sweep .. if you have to bench JT and Mitchy and Matty that is fine .. at some point someone needs to teach them .. none of those guys has playoff speed and there is nothing you can do about it

Matthews is not getting 15 million from any contending team, unless the cap goes above 95 million.

Tired of the same disappointment and bullshit, where it feels we as fans care more than the players do.

I feel bad for my kids, who just know heartbreak and disappointment following this team, and I can already see them starting to put a pin in them.

My youngest has stopped wearing his jerseys and asked me this morning to take the flags off the car and the flag on the garage, while my older didn’t even bother watching the game at any point last night…..

Every year it feels I care less and less during the season because every year this team proves it doesn’t mean a damn thing.

Now I just want the season to end and let the axe fall wherever it’s going to fall.

Considering how long I’ve lived and cheered for this team, it’s a really crappy way to feel at this point in my life and this stage…

What kind of team and playoff team do you want to be and how to adjust a build to achieve this. Cap, balance, D, goalie, etc.

Buddy of mine that I've worked with for like 7 years and knows all my tendencies and passion in the playoffs messaged me last night asking how I was doing...and at this point it's just, meh. Not even like frustration like in previous years, not heartbreak/depression like in 2021 vs. Montreal, not disappointment of the missed opportunity like when they lost last year, just meh. It's not over and I'll still watch Wednesday and go Friday if it happens as I have tickets, but it's hard to feel much right now. Fatigued is a good word to describe it.

As has been said by some over the last few years, Dubas has left the next GM an absolute mammoth task that can't be won.

I genuinely feel sorry for the next GM having to undo all of the carnage that Kyle has created. Like where does he/her/them even begin?
