The result and how we got there are different things. From the comments I guess no reason to watch the video.
Actually is anyone surprised?
Probably 90% of Leafs fan expected this result.
Or our top 6Florida and Tampa's 3rd lines will own ours. Never winning with our bottom 6.
Of course it's up to the Leafs. But like @notbias said, how do you guys go from treating this team like world beaters after they roll over Columbus or Calgary to declaring them dead after they lose a one goal game to Florida (after beating the exact same team 6 days earlier)? The truth is in the middle. Barring an upset (and Tampa beating Florida would most definitely be an upset), these two teams are going to meet in the second round. It will be a grind, and I think both teams will show up for that series.Right now, they will have to prove it on the ice that they can beat this Florida team consistently. They have not. I don't care if you lose 2-1 or 5-1. It's a loss just the same. 1-3 against them this season, 1-4 against them in the playoffs in 2023. I don't see them beating Florida in a 7 game series. It's up to the Leafs to prove people wrong.

How long will we continue to use the “Matthews is hurt” excuse.Matthews is playing hurt and can’t do much of anything out there.
Marner has actually been fine but his linemates never got him the puck.
I have drywall to do much more enjoyable. The result and how we got there are different things.
A true Leaf fan would watch and endeavour the pain.
It was gross![]()
Neither does tonight's game or last Wednesday's game. They are not dead, all I am saying is that they have to prove people wrong. Those games against Columbus and Calgary didn't make me feel that they can suddenly beat Florida in the playoffs, as fun as those wins were. Those games have nothing to do with what will happen in the playoffs.
He'd look so much better if he went Messier up top and grew a beard or shaved the stache. How does a guy in the prime of his life purposely walk around looking like a dirtbag?
I'd give you a thoughtful answer to this, but I'm still waiting for that OT you predicted to finish. The next time a team's regular season record against another team has any predictive vaue for the playoffs will be the first time. By your logic, Montreal would sweep the Leafs in the playoffs.

Why do all our American goal scorers end up looking like Phil Kessel
Barkov shut down line1 so it could only be line 2So we basically had 1 forward line today....
The price you'll pay for a solid d man.I know but as someone else had pointed out elsewhere, the expectation was for Laughton to come in to play 3C to replace Minten who then became expendable and was used in the Carlo trade. What a Disastrous, useless trade the Laughton deal has become.![]()

RFK gonna fix thatWhy do all our American goal scorers end up looking like Phil Kessel
2nd line was on for both goals. First line played the Panthers first line even. Neither line was good enough.Barkov shut down line1 so it could only be line 2
Lol Minten wasn't traded for Laughton dumbass. Carlo > Minton every day of the weekIf the Leafs play the Panthers in the playoffs, this is probably exactly what's going to happen again. Leafs offense getting shutdown by Florida who steps it up and smothers our best players. Stolarz will have to be 1993 playoff Patrick Roy for the Leafs to go anywhere in the playoffs.
Also Minten scored his first goal with the Bruins in his 3rd game playing for them, tying him with Laughton with one goal in 14 games. Good trade Brad!![]()
