Boston Bruins Sign Dan Locmelis

Always had him on my binki radar. Dude looking good. I decided to pay the monthly AHL fee to watch some playoff hockey.

When I was watching the Canes/Devils last night I started to think, is Locmelis the next Jackson Blake?

Blake drafted in the 4th of 2021 and jumped right into the big league roster this year. He is on PP1, crazy.

Locmelis drafted in the 4th of 2022 and dominating the A.

Blake was much more accomplished at college but Locmelis also has the international performances. His ceiling is probably lower but still something to watch.

I propose he goes by the nickname "Loci" as a reference to Loki (brilliant god of mischief).

It fits Hockey Nicknames 101 of shortening the last name w an "eee" ending. Obviously, Latvian mythology would have had limited overlapping w Norse mythology BUT he has spent Jr. years playing in Sweden.

We already have a Loke playing in the Q, though. I guess 2 Loci/Loke/Loki's would be okay.
