I forgot the Leafs also had a losing record (1-2 )against the top seed in the East, Washington, a team who almost plays the same brand of hockey as Florida and Ottawa.

No doubt it is a matchup thing.

Imo, they can overcome it, even with this roster, but it will take full buy in - which we have not seen more than a handful of times this season.
