I will say, despite how badly we outchanced the Rangers, sometimes you need your special teams to win you a game because maybe your top guys just don’t quite have it on that particular night. It’s been a great run the last while and now it’s over. Time to start a new streak. Aside from the Calgary game, the powerplay has been really bad since Rielly got injured though and we really need it to be more of a factor.

I thought they didn't have their legs, or will to win tonight. They looked like they were on a back to back IMHO.

I think the boys stopped skating when the refs let them know that they weren't calling the Rangers on any obstruction penalties. Even my wife commented on that. Both Bunting and Marner obstructed/interfered with, and NO CALLS!

Refs are not to blame though, as the Leafs need to play through this adversity! Our Leafs powerplay is back to October bad!!!

Both Matthews and Marner didn't look dangerous on any of their chances. Some credit to the Rangers.

Our Leafs bottom six forwards are also a joke with no ability to score!!!

i mean, we have pretty much aced playing through adversity so far this year.

He's a pretty good hockey player, awesome speed, just cant finish to save his life... Steeves would fit in nice on that line, kid has been able to score at every level and just keeps getting better. Hard worker.

Eh, couldn't buy a goal. Matthews was still generating chances, but just couldn't tuck. Marner's fake slapper had a lot of prospects. Pretty bad puck luck and things just weren't clicking on the powerplay. it happens.
