Two months they have been playing the same way. Goalies steal some games for wins. Other than that it is mostly missed passes, o-zone time with no shots and garbage hockey.

Bottom line, if he is not great, this team has little chance.

I am not a huge fan of his game, especially when you get crap like this, but I have come to learn it doesn't really matter what Nylander, Matthews, Tavares or Rielly do. It's Marner or bust. And come playoff time we know it is bust.

So I guess it is what it is. I mean, this may as well be the 80s since this team has about as much chance as those teams did and doing anything come playoff time.

If they play like this on the western trip they are going to get murdered.

I thought he was okay. Threw some hits, made some creatively chaos passes but wasn't connecting. McMann looked more assertive than Matthews, who wasn't trucking through center ice as when he was looking 100% earlier last week.

Boring game, bad result, stupid game losing goal, wish I hadn't tuned in!
