If this means now that Keefe won't play Brodie or the 4th late in games, then I'm OK with this inhumane experiment coming to an end. But I have my doubts...

Awful game by Tavares and the 2nd line.

Matty *
Robertson **
Reaves.***

Agreed.

Tavares was fumbling the puck every now and then.
Nylander was invis...

Our D was solid. BUT - Brodie needs a rest before the playoffs.

Luckily Mccabe and Benoit were absolutely stellar.
Good sticks and timely bodying the cats.
Benoit one arming Bennet away from Sammy at the end there was something we sorely needed.

Boosh with good looks

PAPI on Pace for 70!!!!!

Boys always make it interesting

Found a way to win though and our depth is looking as good as it has in years, get the special teams going and our best defensive players back and things get very interesting

Keefe putting that 4th line out there and Brodie out on the ice after the 5-3 goal was scored was the coaching equivalent of a Dermott spin-o-rama in OT.

One of the worst coaching decisions I've seen in a while. I want to know what's going through that guys mind...

Anyway successful playoff run will have last minute close calls like that. They bent a lot, but didn't break. Gotta give the team credit.

Some questionable over-use of Brodie there and Reaves should not have been out for the 5-4 goal.

Agreed about Reaves but Reaves didn't do anything wrong IMO on that shift.

Brodie just sucked ASS on all the goals against

Brodie on ice for 3 of the total 4 Florida goals; 2 of them in the 3rd period.

Brodie effed up again before Matthews had to rescue the Leafs single handedly

A good two periods, and a Leafy third... held on for the win, but didn't end up making the statement that they wanted. Had they kept the pedal down, and won convincingly, it could have put doubts in Florida's minds.. but now they know that no lead if safe for the Leafs.

Yeah I don’t think Reaves did anything wrong. From what I remember of the play it was Brodie chasing the puck behind the net. Got kicked out to the top of the circle and he kind of air head flamingoes in front of Sammy.

Brodie is just playing a trash game. Compared to how hard McCabe is eating pucks, battling, Brodie’s just waving his stick around, never making plays and falling to stop cycles, rim arounds, box outs.

My stars of the night were Matthews, Benoit and Bertuzzi.

Felt like the coach out coached himself in the 3rd starting with altering the lines; pointless. Running out the wrong D pairings at the wrong time. Appreciate the attempt at detail, but dude way overthinks sometimes. That being said, the players were trash.

Embarrassing third imo. FLA beared down a little and our guys basically shat themselves.

Sammy shaky, but good enough for the night. Brodie has about 5 good competitive minutes in him. If they get used up early, he is done-for. Liked most of the other guys other than the mis-read by McCabe on the 3rd goal against. Tavares had his worst game since the all-star break, just brutally brutal.

PP continues to be a mega problem. I am almost sure my men's team could defend it, so predictable and imprecise. Talk about shambles in the brain, hooboy.

You can almost script the Leafs collapse, except they didn’t fully collapse. They won. Matthews gets to 62, Sammy wins the game. Great first 2 periods of the game. You knew Florida was going to push hard and he ultimately held them in there.

Lots of good to take away from the game and a case study for future games on what to avoid.

The 4th line was one of our best lines today. I think it was Keefe rewarding them late in the game for being so good all game. The Robertson/Holmberg line was ass

Reaves MVP. Dude set the tone

Yeah I think this was definitely throwing a bone to a line that played well all game. I'm not much of a Reaves believer but he had a strong game. He had the 4th line out against Barkov quite a few times -- by choice.

People losing their minds over that is a little much. He still had Kampf and Dewar on the ice, both easily people you want in a defensive zone play.
