I think Canes had a top 5 PK. I think helps to get Dougie to come homeHurricanes' assistant coach too... with the number of rumors surrounding Hamilton to the Leafs, it only makes sense to speak to someone with firsthand experience with him. Does he help with the PK too? Hurricanes have been 3rd and 4th best last two seasons.
Carolina basically does what the Leafs try to do with a measure of success, so they're probably a good organization to poach from. I'm pretty sure he was Carolina's defense coach, so Malhotra probably stays with the PP

pretty sure Malhotra only did the PP. Hakstol did the defense/PK, which will probably now be done by Chynoweth. But as for your main point about why not replace Malhotra on the powerplay, I have no clue. That was a very obvious move to makeHere's my question. Malhotra was always known as a defensive specialist. We put him in charge of both special teams. Not surprisingly, our PK was good last year and PP beyond awful. So if we were going to replace Manny on one of the two, why the hell would we replace him on the PK end and not on the PP end?

Tell us how to feel boom.that is correct.
Fair point but Hakstol did PK which was strong. Malhotra did PPHere's my question. Malhotra was always known as a defensive specialist. We put him in charge of both special teams. Still lots of time to hire a new PP coach. Here's my question. Malhotra was always known as a defensive specialist. We put him in charge of both special teams. As long as he fixes the PP and gets Marner either off the PK or makes him stop never try to flip the puck out I'm happy. I'd rather take him off because while he has been decent, he always thinks offence first and thats costly sometimes
