Vegas just showed why they are the best in the league and we are pretenders and can’t close out a game

Hung with them pretty well considering we're running an AHL goalie. But I do agree, this was a good measuring stick, it always is against Vegas. This leafs team is not a cup contender. The bottom 6 is just not good enough. Vegas has depth everywhere on that roster.

If I am Keefe I would be throwing garbage cans around the room. That was pathetic. Marner doing dumb dangles to lose it in the offensive zone then goes for a skate after failing to poke check rather than taking out the man and boom player springs the breakaway. We handed them this game. Marner should be ashamed of that play.

Matthews has checked out of the hotel. He is so done with Toronto it is not even funny. He wants a trade, that is why he is playing so badly. he is going to be lucky to score 15 goals this season at this point.

Rielly's not the main culprit on the OT goal against but he certainly isn't a strength back there. Usually something has gone wrong up ice and he's just the fire drill.

Got a point still but probably deserved 2. You just can't self inflict that type of damage and expect to win. Ar least 3 out of 4 goals were on the d and stupid mishaps.

Still if you told me they'd go 3-0-1 a week ago ...I'd say beauty I'll take it.

Hopefully they rebound and have another really good weekend coming up against teams who have been struggling (Pitts and van)

Putting up a .800 save % vs "tough shots" isn't an accomplishment.

Not an accomplishment but given the glorious scoring chances we were giving up it could have gotten real ugly when you have your 3rd string goalie back there. He did enough to win. Not sure how our too guys let that happen in OT.

He looked like he was playing 5v5 zone coverage instead of 3 on 3 man to man.

It's man on man, not zone coverage. Rielly was staying near his man while Marner completely goofed and was nowhere near any Golden Knight player let alone the guy he was supposed to be covering.
