Jen Botterill is Babe Bennett in Mr. Deeds. I'm sure of it. Her and Kevin won't be sharing a set much longer. Incompatible.

And, it is nice to a record-setting 7th hockey intermission segment on SN.
the worse part is they will get rid of Kevin who is 1000% more interesting and knowledgeable how NHL hockey. If this was women hockey then for sure Botterill would have tons of insight on how the game is played

How can anyone say this with a straight face? The league had Gretzky and Super Mario at the same time and it didn't make hockey into a household name, at least in America.

Trevor Zegras is not going to make hockey a household name. It is much more likely to drive longtimers away from the game than to bring some giant new base to the league.

Hockey people want to see hockey played by men. Jen Botterill represents a women's hockey POV where they don't hit.

I'm not a fan of fighting whatsoever, but I am a huge fan of hitting. A part of the game that should never go out of the game.
They’re not talking about hitting & neither am I. She’s talking about (and so am I) about stupid nonsense fighting or in this instance a guy getting his face beat in in a non combative situation.
This has nothing to do with people not liking “hard physical hockey” we all love that shit

The numbers say he's a bona fide top 4 guy

The narrative which has gone on far too long, so long that even the stats guys are wondering what it's going to take.
That's the problem with basing everything on statistics alone; they do not cover all facets of the game.
Ho many opportunities to dump the puck does he flub? How many times has he been pushed off the puck behind his own net? How many breakout passes has he messed up because he cant take a pass before the outlet?

There's merit to stats. 100%. However they're flawed and basing everything on them and not your eyes is an issue that many fall into.

Love Kevin. We should make him a part of the coaching staff. Team morale lmao

Every court needs a jester.

At least Holl looks serviceable of late, I’ll take it.
Agreed. Hard to look worse though. Two sides to the coin. Him paying better is better for us but is this who he is or what we've seen for the last 18 months the real Holl?

The only reason the 1st has looked ok for the last while is because he's getting to play consistently with the second guy on that list.

Actually Holl is first on the list of all our top 4 D this year. Despite the toughest usage.

She played at a high level, I played football at a very high level. You’re going to tell someone who played o line about “intricacies” of physicality?
……. Take a lap
You should take a lap - You never played hockey either - so keep your ears and eyes open and your mouth shut .. maybe you will learn something ... also Jen played Girls Hockey -- also different

Seems like it. Wish they would of got him rested earlier in the season.

Makes you wonder if a lot of it with Mrazek is the same. 3 groin injuries now sure seems like it is part of it.
I think it's also psychological - and how that drives play style.

Leafs goaltending always seems best when there isn't a lot of movement. A conservative approach that doesn't let dumb shit in with positional saves will win us a lot of games.

To be fair to him Holl’s been better since being away from awful Muzzin this season
I love me some Muzz. That being said he has been so bad this year im afraid when he comes back he may actually be the weak link. God I hope I am wrong. Cuz when he is on he is incredible and we are going to need him in the playoffs.
