Would be nice to destroy a team once in a while. These close games are getting old.

Obviously, no one will complain if Leafs trounce someone.

But I do think there's a maturity and experience to this team that hasn't existed for a long time. Although I would still like another player who can play with some steel, I think this team has the most resolve and fight that any Toronto side has for a while.

Only think i'd love to see is a 2013 Leo Komarov coming over for the first time. Fine one of those and i'll be over the moon.

A win here puts us 1 point back of the league leaders with the same number of games played as TB and FLA but with COL having one game in hand.

Hilarious? well then you can laugh all you want when the friggin Habs knock us out in the first round. Listen, I am a die hard of a Leafs fan as you're going to get and have been since 1974 (I still remember watching Sittler score 10 points), I always support the Leafs and make excuses for their failures.

I don't know what you are reading cause I did not say you have to outscore your problems but at least score one friggin PP goal so we don't always have to go into OT or SO cause otherwise that will come back to haunt us in the playoffs.

But now, this is our chance to actually succeed in the playoffs and to do that, you have to be good defensively AND offensively like the Bolts, Avs and Knights are. I am not being negative but realistic. If we can't excel on both sides or even score a single PP goal against these weaker Canadian teams, any chances for the Cup are over, we will not beat any of those 3 mentioned teams, even if we do manage to get out of our division.

We've got Hutchinson in net tonight so they better learn how to score sooner than later even against a weak Flames team.

So the 1st place Leafs have all these problems, but the 4th place Habs (who are only in a playoff spot because of loser points) are in a good position? come on

The PP is cold but we have players we all know can dominate on it. You’re overreacting to a small sample size.

You don’t think we’re good offensively and defensively? We sit 4th in Goals For per game and 8th in Goals against per game. Which begs the question, which games are you watching? Surely it can’t be Leafs games. Oh the Leafs also score more goals a game than the Knights.

Let’s talk about Hutchinson now. He’s a 3rd goalie making 3rd goalie money. But what on earth do you mean we need to learn to score to win with Hutch in net? Hutchinsons GAA is 2.49. We score 3.24 goals per game. Statistically and factually speaking, we have absolutely no scoring problem and Hutchinson is a fine #3.

So how about you stop looking for things to complain about and just cheer for the damn team.

I mean it’s a back to back, so if he’s playing on Monday, you don’t need him to back up hutch

I don't care about this one game but the overall picture is concerning IMO. Two days after playing, he may or may not be healthy enough to dress as a backup if I'm understanding this correctly. I hope he's a lot healthier by the time the playoffs start but if this injury occurred in January, not sure how optimistic we can be that this will be the case.

Likely Woll backing up tonight? You have to wonder if we will try and trade for another #3 type before the deadline. There are concerns with both Freddie and Jack.. don't want to have to roll only with Hutch and Woll. I'd like to see Dell back or grab Forsberg from the Sens once they get Hogberg back.

You have no idea what I am saying, these offensive numbers you bring up that make us look so good are from before these last 13 games, that's what bugs me the most knowing that we can score but are struggling at it so much during these 13 games and are not showing any signs of snapping out of it.

Our GF average in those 13 games is 2.53, however in the 24 games before that, our GF average was 3.67. You are looking at their GF for the entire 37 games and claiming that's good enough, that's not how it works, just ask the St. Louis team that won the cup. I'm just glad that there is still lot's of time for our boys to get back into their groove offensively before the playoffs.

Try to understand that all I am saying is that I wish that they would sooner than later start lighting the lamp more often and stop losing to friggin Ottawa (they friggin embarrassed us).

And sure, we are number 1 in our division, and again that's due to our first 24 games where our winning percentage was almost .800, our winning percentage in these last 13 games is .500.

Campbell's injury status is concerning to say the least.
We realllly need to trade for a goalie. Campbell has been excellent, but we can’t gamble our whole season on him staying healthy, when he’s clearly playing through a sketchy injury. And honestly, I think Andersen’s confidence is shot - even if he gets fully healthy, I wouldn’t want to depend on him. Goaltending is such a mental game, and with the fanbase turning on him so hard, I think he’s done in Toronto.

If I was Keefe, I’d make sure to acquire one of Ullmark, Kuemper, Raanta or Driedger.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. Makes the fanbase look like a joke, TBH

Could this possibly be correlated with Auston Matthews getting injured? It’s a season, a lot of things happen. The fact that we’re in first place says we’ve had a good season. No team is great from start to finish.

All that matters is you get the best possible seeding and get hot heading into the playoffs. I’d rather be cold now and hot come playoff time than vice versa.

We have a great team. Try to enjoy it.

I believe both Dermott and Bogosian would have to clear waivers to land on the Taxi Squad. If that's right, we wouldn't be able to bury their salaries like we can Liljegren's.
Oh okay. So you can't scratch without putting them on taxi? Thats too bad.
I guess he has to wait. He is NHL ready and the team's first call up option along with Sandin.

This is all I am trying to say, I said that I'm glad that we are finding ways to win and stay up as high as possible in the standings but am waiting for them to get hot again offensively so we can shut everybody up that laughs at the Leafs for always being knocked out in the first round. The Avs are doing it right, they started off kind of cool but have really turned it on and are now 12-0-2 in their last 14 and their offense is gone insane.

Later game. Less distractions. Let’s have an Easter Parade to the centre ice dot please.

I think Simmonds should be about back up to speed for this game. Maybe a goal? Tough coming back from a broken hand, surprised at how many people write him off, especially based on his earlier play. He never had the grace in his stride like a Nylander, but he gets where he wants to go when he is in game shape. He will be important down the stretch and in the playoffs.

I’d love to see a Dell, Palmeiri & Kulikov trade with NJ. Ideally a package around Kerfoot & futures 50% retained on all 3 players

Yea this is why I say freddy has to play often to get game ready and get his confidence back, its just to risky to rely on Campbell to stay healthy and make a deep playoff run, I seriously question if Campbell can grind out 2,3,4 playoff series as a starter .... I will say it again, Dubas is in a tough spot right now with this goalie situation

Is it too much to ask to get Liljegrin some games? C’mon. This is frustrating.
