Cap benefit = 6,049.334
Cap hit to Vancouver after he retired would be 2,016.444 and that would be 7 years down the road.
Toronto money if he played 7 years.
Total money paid = 43,666.000
Total cap hit = 37,333.331
Cap benefit - 6,332.669
If he retired with 3 years remaining the cap hit for Toronto would be 2,110.889.
Brian Burke has always been against long term contracts and I could see him hating this one.
