Congrats. But you know he doesn't have to cheer for Toronto, right? You have the chance to raise him better than you were raised.
No.. we must pass on the trauma generation to generation

I passed it to my younger brother, next when i have kids it will be their turn

If your born into a family with parents as leaf fans you'll be a leaf fan most likely.

Hopefully by the time i have kids and they're old enough to appreciate hockey the leafs are an actual dynasty

I wouldn't call him trash but he's a green horn and still makes glaring AHL mistakes out there. It didn't burn the team in particular during this playoffs but those will eventually catch up with him.
Possibly, but also possible he'll get better as he gains NHL experience.

How can you say not willing to go to the dirty areas and then say they should not trade Nylander in the same post. He never throws checks he is a player who only gets involved if he has a chance to score. Not any other time. He needs to go and I hope the Gm we trade him to feels the same as you do.
Every player doesn't have to. Nylander is also probably our best board player. He brings an aspect the others do not. He wanted the puck on his stick tonight... all night. He is not a power forward, but if we move him we will regret it imo.

Look at the end of the day, I cheer for the team, not individual players, so if he is moved nary a tear will be shed by me.

He took multiple slapshots tonight. He didnt have a chance to shoot tonight because he wasnt effective.

The best chance was in OT where he panicked and fired low instead of ending it upstairs

None of that disputes any of what I said though, both are true lol

I knew we were in trouble when Liljgren was in front of the net and a 3 on 2 the other way. Jarnkrok played that so poorly, he should have attacked him.

Well that sucked. Should be an interesting summer that's for sure. I'm actually quite surprised by how relaxed I feel right now. I think it's because we lost in five and were almost swept. That basically left me with no further expectations for this club to advance very early on in this series. I'm okay with this.

Anyway, break out the flamethrowers and let the scorching begin.

Don't think that's fair to say - definitely saw him trying his best - he's just never been a fast/good skater - always made up for it with his hands and shot
He was timid, didnt take the puck to traffic or compete in battles. I like the giy, but he was awful this series.

Guys, I know you're all upset but I don't think you trade either Matthews or Marner, or if you do you better get a King's ransom. Both are only 25 years old. Think about players who played a lot longer than that before winning. Not everyone can be a Kane or Crosby.

Yzerman didn't win until his 30s. Stamkos was 30. Ovechkin was in his 30s. I think those teams were glad they didn't overreact and move on from those players.

I think things will improve in 2 years after Tavares' contract is expired. But even him, just 13 days ago he was being celebrated for scoring a massive goal to end 19 years of frustration. It's good to keep perspective.

I think there are changes to be made. The coach needs to go. How do we know that a different coach couldn't get more out of this core? I think it's worth a try. There are also certain pieces that just have to go, like Holl and Kerfoot. Bring in Marlies like Steeves and Holmberg.
