Keefe is chickenshit and is gambling that Jones won’t get hurt playing back to back, because then we’ll really be f***ed. Sheldon’s never been one to trust young players but this is a new level. Woll is still out for a month where you’ve still got 12 games to play, and Samsonov is a shell of his former self and is a non-option.

Scared for nothing. If Hildeby’s development is so tenuous that potentially one bad game could ruin him then why even bother going through all this trouble? And if they don’t think he’s good enough then they should’ve called up Petruzelli or claimed Comrie as shit as they are and have been this season.

Keefe is really dumb as hell. The most important thing by a mile is making sure Jones stays healthy, so he's playing him 2 nights in a row. Fatigue is one of the biggest factors for injuries. Plus it's just a dick move to call a young player up (and having him miss a game) only to sit and watch. He did it to Steeves earlier in the year too

Not sure I agree it's a dick move. I am sure Hildeby will enjoy his NHL paycheque in the meantime.

Whatever you want to call it, Keefe's track record with integrating young players onto the Leafs has been nothing short of a failure. Refusing to play young players that the GM calls up isn't going to help with that

Lol. It's the right call. Anaheim might be a weaker team but the Leafs are still on the 2nd half of a back to back on a tough road trip travel wise.

I'd bet good money the Leafs will be flat tonight for good stretches. No point in having the kid in there and potentially get shelled.
 
I’m sure cause of the shutout and he didn’t have work hard for it he asked if he’s good to go back in and Jones said yes. I’m sure we see the beast in san jose
