Personally I don't think about any other team unless they're playing the Leafs.
Feel for the dad's having to go to that shit hole for their yearly trip though.

I'd keep Matthews out of this one tonight and maybe even Saturday's game. The Leafs are in a really good spot right now standings-wise and I'd rather let him get the full week off to get healthy.

Whatever is nagging him needs to be taken care of now rather than having it linger into March/April and hopefully beyond.

that decline to answer is a clear cut answer IMO as to what happened to Matthews' shot this season.

Somebody find dubas and tell him to LTIR Matthews; lets pull a quasi-lightning; and get some serious help for the playoffs and let Matthews join us right as playoffs start.

We gotta rig the system; enough off playing boy scouts.

Normally I don't do this, but I mean this is a serious discussion in the wing GDT right now.

Poster 1:
I am rooting for monster games from Bert and Chiarot both physically and productive. To the point where then Dubas starts panicking about the "playoff" makeup of the Leafs. Wouldn't it be fun to bundle off the both of them in exchange for like Nylander (they'd have to move significant salary) and whatever?

Nylander has been perfectly fine for them in the playoffs. But it would be just like that franchise to go braindead for a moment and do the Swede for two tough Canadians? Sign me up! Similar to Montreal and francophones.

I do not take that deal, Bert + Chiarot for Nylander. William Nylander has always seemed sort of weak and soft to me, and kind of meh in terms of production, even on a team that's loaded with talent. Take him off of a line with Auston F*cking Matthews and instead give him Copp and Rasmussen, and watch his numbers drop off the table.

And he's not a center -- we don't need another wing.
