You ride the gun on the back of Campbell and pray he doesn't get hurt. Besides that it's a clear choice as to who to start. You start the best until he can't. That goes for all the teams, nothing special we are doing here.

Fred is finished this year. I didn't debate that. He has no chance of being a no.1 on any playoff team right now.

I just don't see the point in bringing up Fred's past performances when Campbell has no data to match up. That's all. Those opponents were beasts. Montreal is an AHL team in comparison and we almost beat all 3 (Bruins x2 + Caps). It's not fair to play the "what if" game and bash Fred because Fred himself not only had harder opponents but didn't have the luxury of this defence in front of him.

edit- I'm not anti-Campbell. I'm just one of the rare ones who love Campbell but still stick up for Fred.

It's all good man, everyone is entitled to their opinion, I just may disagree with yours compared to mine 'and most that would agree with me on my point' ... look... our team today is even better than when we faced the Bruins in those two series.. now that we have a better team than we did today? would I trust Andersen in net? HELL NO! look at the last game he played... he can't even stop a beach ball, terrible puck tracking, terrible lateral movement, yes... there was a time I loved Freddie, but his time with this team is done.

If my memory is correct then I don't think so but we were up 1-0 and 3-2 against Boston with game 6 in Scotiabank Arena. I was there, lets not talk about it.

Leafs were up 1-0 and I believe after a Trevor Moore penalty it was all down hill.

I can't see another scenario when you try Andersen. So you either try now, or wait until there is an injury or something.

As for our goalies, I’m in between. I think you give Andersen the start. I really like Campbell, but he lets in some bad goals too. The Habs are so lucky they have Price, otherwise these games would be out of hand

When is the last time we lost a playoff game in Montreal, oh 42 years ago.... Hope CBC points that out tomorrow.

I didn't have the best feeling going into this game. Figured MTL was gonna come out flying for their first game on home ice and was a little worried we wouldn't be able to match the intensity.

That's a gutsy win on the road in the playoffs. Our D is so much better this season. Campbell was solid.

Can't wait for tomorrow night! Hopefully Foligno is good to go.

Something has to be done about Thornton's usage. We can't be the only people that see that he's not helping the team and actually a liability at times. Ice the best possible roster and play guys where they belong. Why is that so hard for our coaching and management? If we end up falling short of expectations this playoffs, they need to be held accountable for these poor decisions.

Lastly, PP is still not operating at an acceptable level. This game would have been a lot less stressful if we had cashed in on just ONE of our PP opportunities. Everything is magnified in the playoffs. Especially in close games like this. Going 0-for on the PP will be the difference between winning and losing a close game. They had that awful drought in the regular season. What was done about it? Get it fixed FFS.

Held them to 4 goals in 3 games, that's solid. Their entire team is Carey Price, that game would've looked realllll ugly with an average starter in net.

I can’t wrap my head around Thornton. And he has no business on the PP either
