One of the numerous podcasts I listen to said there was a segment that had something to do with his popularity on social media.

Probably pretty harmless stuff, but apparently the Nylander camp thought the Toronto media might overreact about it and feared comments like "he cares more about his followers than winning" and stuff like that.

That docuseries played it VERY safe regarding the 4 core forwards. They're barely in it. Probably all of them (and their agents) fought for that, given the media here.

Bowman? He made a mistake by trusting his superior would do his job. He followed process, reported this to the Pres, expecting his boss wasn't a $hitbag and would do the right thing. Hardly the same thing as not doing anything. Bowman's sin was, he trusted his boss.

Yeah and it was ten years ago too. A different world where a whistle blower might be unemployed for suggesting they do the right thing. I think any GM today would bring in the cops to keep as distant as possible from the mess.
