Compounded by the Slumps for our big 4 (Nylander is progressing towards a slump if held pointless tonight)

Leafs are just atrocious offensively. It is expected that they'd be middle of the pack defensively by most fans (at least non-homers) but they've shockingly been terrible there.

Leafs haven't controlled a game for 4 games now. They were bad vs Sharks, unspeakably bad vs the Pens, and then bad again vs Canes

We have terrible finishers, we now have poor puck carriers and distributors, we have poor defensive players and a poor goalie.

Leafs are simply cursed. We hype this team and it goes to their heads. The brightest era for the team is going down the dumpster. Insane how different things were after the 2018 loss to Bruins and the JT signing

If the D doesn't come out with some changes (Muzzin-Holl), then I don't know what to say about Keefe. I thought a lot of our forwards did some good things that period. Nylander is playing well and bumping out there. Matthews has shown some jump. Marner has had a few plays where he looks like his old self. Spezza continues to be a steal and play with heart. Bunting was darting around like a fly out there. Simmonds was crashing and banging and creating chances. Ritchie played one of his better periods imo, as he showed as much hustle as he possibly can for being as slow as he is. I have a feeling things turn in this coming period. But Muzzin & Holl need a break from one another

Everything is collapsing so we aren’t focusing on it but he clearly isn’t 100%. He looks like he did last year when he wouldn’t shoot after the Andersson hit

Then don’t play. Sit out. He looks fully cooked too. Like a 3C Alexander kerfoot level cooked. He may think he’s helping us, but we are probably better without him in the lineup cuz nylander can go back to kerfoot and bunting which was our only consistent producing linr

This is what happens when your core cares more about what manpurse matches their outfit best than actually showing up for the game.

I’m all about self expression and letting people do what they want but let your work ethic and play reflect that confidence.

Stylistically, I think the Leafs rely too much on the more "efficient" means of moving the play, ie the center of the ice and royal road passes. They need to change things up a little to increase the effectiveness of those plays: play it off the boards, take point shots, dump it in and play a physical forecheck.
