Speculation: Leafs Captaincy

Being the captain of the Leafs is a big deal. It shouldn't be a short term guy. If he's the captain, he should be captain for a long time. If you don't have that guy yet, don't name a captain.

That said, Rielly could be that guy. Stamkos if we sign him could be that guy.

I think it would be a joke if Laich is named captain. I think the guy is dead weight.

That's fine. If the Leafs think he is dead weight too, then I wouldn't want him captain either.

Stamkos will b named Captain at his introduction presser in the ACC atrium with that new Leafs centennial jersey
