The QC
They virtually are getting no depth through 17 games, it's a huge issue right now.. Stellar goaltending and quality d-zone play has kept them alive so far.

Our entire bottom 6 right now provides us nothing. We are legit a two line team right now, Treliving needs to find a way to acquire some scoring and quickly. It's been 17 games with the results below, "figuring out stage" passed us 7 games ago.

Holmberg = 1 point
Robertson = 1 point
Reaves = 1 point
Domi = 0 goals, 6 points
Loretnz = 3goals, 4 points.
McMann = 4 goals, 5points
Kampf = 3 assist, 3 points.
Yea, can't win like that.

I just think they make terrible decisions. Go back to 2018 in Leafland and it was pretty much universally accepted that the Leafs would be reaching multiple finals very shortly.

Then Brendan made one decision and boom, damage done.

We all thought we were going to be the next dynasty.

It's a joke just how little we've accomplished when we started with such a great base.

Slow of foot and not being very good at passing the puck is a bad combination. This team is not up to playing the heavy style of game that wins in the playoffs and has no offense outside of 5 players. They’re goaltending and defense has improved but all the money going to four skilled but soft forwards doesn’t fit with their overall plan. It’s going to take some balls and creativity for Treliving to make the necessary changes because it has to be obvious by now that this core group will never get it done.

Fans of other teams did as well. In their Out of Town Threads they were all sitting themselves about what the Leafs were about to become.

It's crazy things went the way they did.

It actually takes some real work to mess up where we were after the Caps series loss.

McCabe fumbled the puck twice on consecutive shifts

That’s the problem with the team. Or one of them. NO puck talent on the back end. An ancient OEL and an overplayed Rielly are nothing compared to contending teams who have actual talent on the back end.
OEL is hardly ancient. If they had another 3 like him they’d be way better off.

I'd like to see them reel off a huge 12-16 game run after struggling a bit early, but I don't think that's happening this year.

Its going to be win 2, lose 3, win 4, lose 2.

Forever.
1993-94 was actually the Last season that the leafs had a long consecutive winning streak. They won the first 10 games of that season (oct 7-oct 28 1993)

It was also the longest winning streak of their entire history

Don’t expect them to go on a 15-game winning run anytime soon unfortunately
