Game 7, Round 1 is such a phenomenal accomplishment...lol
105 points, 3rd best GA in the East with Matthews, Marner, Nylander 21 and under. But continue with the sad story they are not very good.
I had to hear all last week how JT would go to the Sharks because they are so much better right now and will be for the next 7 years.

I didn't say they are not good, they will be great during the regular season. They lack the backend to be a Stanley Cup Champs, you are hallucinating if you think that roster is built for the playoffs when things get tight.

The D is as good as the last 3 cup champions.
I understand if you think Calvin DeHaan is better than Rielly you will not agree.

Teams are winning with great centre starpower.

I wasn't aware that it is alock every first round Kadri gets suspended for 3 games and Andersen posts .896 save %.

From the research JT did I really don't think he would fall for any lies from Dubas.
And they obviously have fine depth right now.
Right now as in for this season sure. After That? A whole lot of question marks. Theres also 0 way Dubas can know they WILL sign all 4 and still be competitive. What if Marner has a career year and demands $10+? What if Tavares falls off a cliff and doesn't end up that great? What if the prospects you're banking on don't pan out?

So the Leafs will have questions like every other team.

.918 save %. Their goaltending was far from "Amazing".
And BTW, the career backup posted better Numbers than Andersen with that same D. Why is that?
So Andersen is for sale ? But prob because he took every hard start

i wish we could keep these things to our own board, its just inviting sillyness...history has proven that theres no intellectual conversation to be had regarding the leafs and their fan base(from both sides) it always ends the in the same escalating hyperbole fest that contains little to no actual information or unbiased opinion that the thread was intended to elicit.

cheers.

When Lou was working for the leafs, you guys spent all day praising him, now that he’s not on your team he is trash?
To be fair I didn't like signing martin, or polak, or even hainsey, the dumb facial hair rules. I basically waited 3 years for Dubas to take over because the minute they hired him I knew he was gonna be the future.

Bold statement lol... how does this thread hit 20 pages? Like cool, doesn’t mean they’re going too/ all of them would stay just because dubas said so.... or am I missing something

intersting ,
your willing to place matthews hit above eichels thanks to goal production but unwilling to put nylander under ehlers for the exact same reason.
Nylander has slightly higher point per game average over his career. They are similar players and ehlers contract will probably be a major point of comparison in negotiations but its 6 years long and I would prefer the leafs spend a little more to lock up 2 more years of his UFA.

Nope, because most teams won't have $36-$40M locked up into 4 forwards.
You don't understand how to build a winner, do you? Spending millions on supporting players is a terible idea. The Leafs are going to run over teams with that talent.

Did you not watch Dallas fall out of the playoff race and Vegas make the finals? How about Tampa getting outplayed by a more rounded and well coached team?

Okay, so there are some question marks in your eyes for the future, the GM of the Leafs apparently has a plan in place and, provoked or not by that offersheet tweet from Freidman, has let Leafs fans know they are able to keep these players and intend on doing it.

So now what, Lol at Leafs fans for believing Dubas, or is it lol at Dubas for having information we don’t? Do you even have a point or were you just bothered to see some Leafs fans feeling positive?

We are aware of the what if’s, more so than the people who keep warning us the bottoms going to fall out any day now, and Dubas more so than anyone.

Just like the Pens and Caps did before they actually added depth?

Do you have any idea how many GMs have said things that never happened ?
