Happy to see Murray back in action. Hoping he can reignite some of the stellar form we saw early in the season.

They have been saying for probably over 2 weeks Murray was likely ready by this weekend. He's been practicing for well over a week I believe.

I don't know why it's such a surprise Murray is now healthy when they said he would be.
That's what I was following, but when Woll started against Calgary, it seemed like they had walked it back and were going to keep Woll and Samsonov going. If you are going to put him in for his first start, it does make much more sense to put him in against a weaker Vancouver team than New Jersey on Tuesday.
You need to get him in games though. Waiting 10 more games doesn't make sense. In a ideal scenario, Murray and Samsanov play the rest of the way and when you have clinched home ice, then you play Woll.
100% agreed, but in the ideal scenario injuries aren't a worry either. We do still need to lock down home ice, so there is still plenty to play for, so getting Murray going as soon as possible makes all the sense in the world, but I do think there needs to be an element of load management between now and the playoffs for him to ensure we get the best version of Murray possible for when the playoffs start.

Don't get the hate of Murray playing. We forget he was outstanding to start the season, then he got banged up. If he is healthy he is a good goalie. Was the same for Ottawa last year as well, when he plays he is solid. Give Sammy a rest, think he might be struggling a bit lately cuz he is playing a lot more than he usually would, and at the same time lets get another look at where Murray is at.

I agree, give Sam some rest. It’ll be interesting to see how well Murray does after so much time off

Glad to see Murray back in net! When everyone is healthy, I think Murray is definitely our best goaltender. Not to mention he’s went the distance, not once but twice to win the Stanley Cup. Not sure what the hate on him is? I get he’s been injured a decent amount, luckily they haven’t been serious injuries.

I too have little faith in Murray. His glove is terrible. He doesn't use his size and plays too deep in the net to cut off angles. So deep in fact that he often lifts the net off of the posts when he lifts his body. Even in games where he's played "good" (allowed few or no goals) he just doesn't look comfortable to me out there. Maybe he'll hook his toe on his jock strap while putting it on pre game and fall over and hurt himself and be out for a few more months.

Sid is such a gasbag, yeah va

This guys f***ing takes... Sid is a meathead.

yeah Sid is such a gasbag! Anything did clicks.

Yeah Vasilevskiy is an amazing goal tender and you could compare him to any current goalie and he’s got better numbers. What is he even implying? Dubas should have improved our goalies this deadline? Lol with who?

Like Murray or hate him, you can hate him all you want in the offseason if he isn't there for us when we need him. But until then, he is a 2 time cup winner who has been hot and cold his whole career.

Might as well cheer him on and hope he gets hot for us.

Yeah let’s see how Murray is with a more stable D. Hopefully one of our goalies can go on a nice streak and get some solid momentum heading into the yoffs

When the optimist has little faith we are in trouble :sarcasm:

I’m actually looking forward to his return and think he will play an important part down the stretch.

Even if the medical staff clears him, there's still the giant hurdle of the pre game warmup to clear....:sarcasm:
If all else fails, maybe we can bribe Murray with a contract that pays him several millions of dollars annually ;)
