Aho + Bickell + Carolina's choice of Ward or Lack

Andersen + Carolina's choice of Bozak or Kadri + Connor Brown

Aho is a pure stud, this is a motivated by pure jealously and this will be the only window before he's untouchable IMO

Just terrible for the leafs. Why would they deal Anderson after recently acquiring him and signing him long term? And then on top of that, they take on a massive cap dump that cost Chicago Tuevo to get rid of, AND... deal away Kadri or Bozak.

Honestly, just not good at all.

Why the hell would Carolina do this? Oh let's give away young talent to add a 3rd goalie?

Well, wouldn't be a 3rd goalie as either Ward or Lack would be swapped and Andersen is easily the best of the 3. Certainly makes no sense though as there's better ways to upgrade at goal without giving a highly regarded prospect.

Andersen>>>Ward/Lack
Bozak/Kadri>>>Bickell
Connor Brown </<< Aho Aho

While picking up Aho would be great it makes no sense for Toronto in this trade.

ok. aho is an upgrade on connor brown. not doubting that, the kids gonna be good.

But Andersen>>> Ward or lack and Kadri >>>>>> Bickell.
hell of a lot to give up to go from a good prospect to very good prospect.

just not even close to worth it.
the optics of it are way off. we just gave up a 1st and 2nd to get Freddie.
so basically Aho = 1st,2nd, Kadri, taking a cap dump. lol nope

Andersen was 1 time drafted by Canes, but for some reason he went back into the draft (he refused or Canes didnt sign him, I dunno), so I doubt Canes want him back anyway.
Is Bozak an uppgrade over Rask or Staal, njetski...

The Canes offered him the max entry-deal they could sign him to and he turned it down to reenter the draft in the hopes of getting drafted elsewhere. Saying the Canes don't want him back is probably an understatement.

Even without that, no interest in this offer. Really high on Aho...about as high as Leafs fans are on Marner.

Not a good trade at all. Why would Toronto want to give up Andersen and why would Carolina want to give up Aho?

Carolina JUMPS at this

No. They wouldn't. This makes zero sense for the Canes.

Literally the most valuable piece to the Canes in this is Aho.

The least-valuable as he'd likely refuse to report is Andersen; he made it clear, he does not want to play here.

The Canes FO doesn't care about paying BB to sit in the press-box as the spare forward, why should the fans?

The Canes goalie situation, as annoying as it is to fans, is clearly intentional from the Canes FO standpoint. They have several G specs (Altschuller, Nedeljkovic, Booth) they're happy with that they project to be 2 years away. They have a goalie tandem that are both signed for two years...at the end of which, they can freely assess the future of the position. They're not looking to fix the goalie position.

Kadri, Bozak, Brown...not a clear-cut 1C over Rask among them. Not saying they're not good...but they're not worth giving up our best NHL-ready spec who fills desperate organizational needs.

The highest valued asset in this trade is Aho by a good margin. No chance Carolina deals him for a middling goalie and a Center who isn't an upgrade to Rask or Staal. Canes can happily sign Bishop to a $6-7 million deal next offseason and get a much larger upgrade.

I take Aho over Marner without thinking about it.

There is only one asset on the canes that marner would be avaliable for and hes not aho. We wouldn't even have any disscussion about trading marner for aho, that's something that wouldn't ever happen. Marner is only available in a package for faulk from the canes otherwise he won't be traded (neither team is looking to trade Faulk or Marner so even than this is just fantasy.)

I take Aho over Marner without thinking about it.

The not thinking seems obvious. Anyone who thinks about it reasonably takes Marner.

Dumb proposal, Aho is a nice player but the Leafs need Andersen

Aho is essentially a non-starter for the Canes. Couple that with their bad history with Andersen, and I can't see this happening.

lmao at the fans saying aho> marner and this is worse for canes then leafs

leafs are giving up a #1 goalie, a 2c and there best winger prospect after marner who was voted top 5 by the fan base as a prospect, too many clueless people on here.
