Missed the game unfortunately. Came across this:

Again I missed the game... But Keefe would've played Sammy injured? Thank God someone on the Leafs staff was paying attention lol.

TO's PP looked effective, no, was effective, why, I think it's because there was an actual d-man that knows how to contribute on the PP. TO's PP has been ineffective lately, like every year at this time of year, Gustafsson wasn't simply dishing he was actually moving and dishing the puck on the PP, how refreshing and effective, hope Keefe was paying attention.

Montreal is truly bad, young and bad but having lots of youth isn't necessarily a good thing.
Yeah, crazy how when Rielly's the PP QB they're only 2nd in the league! With Gus on the blueline they'd probably be at 50%!

Rielly does a great job of puck distribution and walking the blueline. A game against one of the worst teams in the league, with nothing to play for, a below average goalie, and a horrendous defense doesn't mean as much as you're making it out to be.

As for the game, it was a good complete game, glad some of our guys that have been cold/out lately had good games (Bunting, Orielly, Nylander in particular).

Keep rolling, and most importantly stay healthy! Looking forward to the real season starting soon.

For those who paid attention today, is there a technical reason that Woll had to go back to the AHL and we had to resort to the EBUG option in the first place? I only caught snippets of Murray supposedly being backup (though he had concussion symptoms?) but realized he couldn't go and can't be put on LTIR...

Does Woll come back up?

I read an article that stated Leafs wanted to let Simmonfs play at least one more game in front of the home crowd and were planning on Murray being ready to back-up Sammy.

So sounds like Murray was ruled out after they already recalled Simmonds and they don't have the cap space to keep both up as far as I know.

I like it personally... Sheldon is usually pretty honest/candid in interviews which is much better than the alternative.
No idea what the purpose is here in this case tho? With this media? With us the rabid unhinged fan base.?Why say it wasn’t me? how about just “ we thought it might be a nice touch for the guy” over and out.
