Another reason for cancellations is due to pilots' shifting schedule. They can only work 8 hours at a time, or something along those lines, and when one of them is sick, it screws over the entire scheduling. I recall Delta leading airlines in flights not being cancelled (WSJ link from 2014).

That's true.

We got stuck in Vegas for an extra night because of this. I guess there are worse places to be stuck.

Delta has an advantage in that their hub (Atlanta) is weather friendly. Whereas United (Chicago) and Air Canada (Toronto) have to contend with more issues.

Any frequent flyers recall any really cool airports?

Zurich is neat in that the train between terminals has Swiss country side sounds pumped in like cowbells.

Munich has an Audi R8 parked inside.

Vancouver is nice with the rock wall.

I always like Charlotte NC for some reason. Just a neat little airport.

Smallest and weirdest is on the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. It's basically a shack. A garage door opens and a couple guys throw your luggage like you are on a loading dock. The passport control is also the "nothing to declare" line.... after the passport control people (all 2 of them) process everyone and move over to a new kiosk about 10 feet away.

That said, Exuma is beautiful. And you really have to try swimming with pigs. Literally.

You watched a 9 season show in a week, jesus...

When you're unemployed out of school and the ODRs don't open til 4 and your buddy's don't get off work til 5, you'll find yourself watching a lot of Netflix. Also I may have exaggerated in saying a week but no more than 12 days or so lol. Doing the math ya I probably watched 5 hours a day lol. It'd be on in the background while I mess around with other things so it's not AS sad as it seems

My only experience with Fanshawe was when I was visiting my buddy at UWO on St. Patrick's Day one year and Fanshawe kids lit a car on fire.

Everyone definitely needs to checkout Daredevil, I know I'm a bit behind but I binged the first season in a week (while working full time and prepping for dental school interviews)

Went to the Hospice Gala tonight. The theme was "Savour the Sea". Excellent menu and single malt all night.

Ah. I went to taco del Mar. IDK if you've had it (it was my first time at one, IDK how big they are in Canada) but it's like subway with tacos / burritos. Not bad. Better than a lot of taco places I've been lol.

We have this small joint in Windsor called "Mi Casita". El Salvadorian food. Absolutely knock your socks off.

Ya in PA we don't really have any "real culture cuisine" places like that. At least none that I've been to.

I watched every Dragon Ball + Dragon Ball Z episode in a a little over a week.

Note that there are 444 episodes.

I could not have sat through all that powering up

I think there's several anime you should watch that are particularly targeted to older audiences (just finished steins gate (it was ok)) that you should try if you're not too opposed to reading subtitles.

I love Changi. One of the best. Scandinavian airports are pretty good too.
However, for example, Frankfurt is just atrocious.

I liked Brussels airport, it was nice, looking good and with great connections from and to the airport with buses and trains. Had quite some flights there in autumn and winter when I was in Belgium on my exchange.

Did not like Rome's airport Fiumicino, but that was mostly because they are still renovation some things and therefore there wasn't much leisure area. And connections to the city are worse, even though express train to the city is good, but quite expensive for European standards.

But really liked the way you fly up over the sea, it is a beautiful view, even though the view at Copenhagen airport is even better, with all the wind turbines that are in the sea infront of the airport.
