Ah. I went to taco del Mar. IDK if you've had it (it was my first time at one, IDK how big they are in Canada) but it's like subway with tacos / burritos. Not bad. Better than a lot of taco places I've been lol.

Not the one in Hamilton, the owner skims customers on chicken. The man tells his employees to only serve half a scoop per taco/burrito, like wtf.

I could not have sat through all that powering up

I think there's several anime you should watch that are particularly targeted to older audiences (just finished steins gate (it was ok)) that you should try if you're not too opposed to reading subtitles.

Yeah I'm starting to get back into more animes lately. I actually own steins;gate but haven't started it yet.

That's true.

We got stuck in Vegas for an extra night because of this. I guess there are worse places to be stuck.

Delta has an advantage in that their hub (Atlanta) is weather friendly. Whereas United (Chicago) and Air Canada (Toronto) have to contend with more issues.

Any frequent flyers recall any really cool airports?

Zurich is neat in that the train between terminals has Swiss country side sounds pumped in like cowbells.

Munich has an Audi R8 parked inside.

Vancouver is nice with the rock wall.

I always like Charlotte NC for some reason. Just a neat little airport.

Smallest and weirdest is on the Exuma Islands in the Bahamas. It's basically a shack. A garage door opens and a couple guys throw your luggage like you are on a loading dock. The passport control is also the "nothing to declare" line.... after the passport control people (all 2 of them) process everyone and move over to a new kiosk about 10 feet away.

That said, Exuma is beautiful. And you really have to try swimming with pigs. Literally.

Opted for Turks and Caicos instead. Will be going in a year or two.

Beautiful island too.

When you get to exuma, you won't regret it. Just go later in the winter. January can be in the teens and twenties. March or April are ideal.

Hey - open letter to you guys with pick up trucks... the extended and jacked up versions that take up full parking spaces at the mall... I really think you need bigger trucks to haul your kids hockey gear. I mean, did it not come with 6 doors?

Or the extended bed for when you carry that piece of dowel home from Lowes?

I think those tires could be bigger too. I know you do a lot of "mudding" in the GTA and you really need that stability for the 2cm of snow they sometimes get overnight.

You could just save everyone the trouble of having to park beside you if you could just center your almost RV over the line and take up 2 spaces.

(Clearly not directed at the Trades that actually need a big truck for crew and gear).

I liked Brussels airport, it was nice, looking good and with great connections from and to the airport with buses and trains. Had quite some flights there in autumn and winter when I was in Belgium on my exchange.

Did not like Rome's airport Fiumicino, but that was mostly because they are still renovation some things and therefore there wasn't much leisure area. And connections to the city are worse, even though express train to the city is good, but quite expensive for European standards.

But really liked the way you fly up over the sea, it is a beautiful view, even though the view at Copenhagen airport is even better, with all the wind turbines that are in the sea infront of the airport.
I like flying to and from Geneve aeroport. The view of the Alps is spectacular.

ya but it is unlikely i will need all that time. first exam is a business case so there isn't really much studying to be done if you keep up with the case work. 1 more to do and i generally do very well in case courses. A lot of it is implications and understanding how one decision affects another which a lot of students seem to struggle with for some reason.

2nd exam is economics (related to financial markets). I'll need some time to study it but i got 4 days. It was only a half credit so there isn't too many formulas/graphs to understand. The actual content isn't hard material for myself cause i am interested in the financial markets.

3rd exam was an elective on nazi germany. Interesting course which will be half essay (on major themes) and half identification. It's pretty predictable tbh and i always find wwii related content interesting too so i absorb the material well.

4th exam is stats and that one is going to be a *****. Have a 70 and need a 70 to stay in the honours program. Fortunately i got a lot of time to study with a couple buddies and it isn't a cumulative exam either. My only real concern this exam period.

5th exam is a course related to international business. Prof decided to give us a reading list of the exact slides to read and he thought it was only going to take an hour max. Both midterms were a joke as well. Honestly only requires like 2 hours of study.

If i had it my way i'd take a week to study stats and then write all the others the following day.

People make you so worried about that class but then you get there and it's not even bad.

Stats though is a *****. Good luck on that one.

Thanks. Feas is a lot of work but it isn't hard work and presentations don't bother me so my group did very well. Plus they give out easy marks from my understanding too  (I think they try and keep the low end at a 70). The first 2 exams are both accounting based (which is my major) so to me it was a joke. I actually though I bombed the 2nd midterm but pulled off an 83 with no curve so since then I've just been laughing my way through the semester.

Stats though :help:

I don't think the content is hard but the way they make the exams is brutal. Since uni I've learned to hate multiple choice exams in general and especially multiple choice math exams. I understand the math to the point that I would get a 2.5/3 on most questions but on multiple choice you need that full 3 to actually get the mark. Too many times I made the mistake of forgetting to 1-(%) or actually taking 1-(%) when I wasn't suppose too. I remember talking to my prof right after the exam and he mentioned that there was going to be no curve at all. We ended up with a 8% curve

isn't that the truth. I had to negotiate for a D-.

My course requires a 70% to stay in the honours program (stupid cause the alternative 2 half credit courses only require the normal 60, my mistake though I thought stats would be easier). Prof said he wouldn't bump anyone up even if they are on the edge at 68/69. Could be begging the guidance councillor to let it slide if I end up dropping and finishing on the edge.

Stats was easy as ****. Seriously, they're by far my 2 highest grades I've gotten (88 and 91) in uni.

I had a 96 in high school stats and now I am holding like a 72. I think my biggest issue is the multiple choice exams because the content isn't insane or anything.

Stats was awful. Needed two for my double major, and absolutely dreaded both. My best friend was awesome with numbers, though, so he helped get me through. Would have certainly failed them without him.

I got lucky with my feas group. We started early and all had a 2 hour time slot before/after class where we met up and got a lot of work done. But also when 4 of the group members are people doing the double degree with Ivey and engineering they tend to work hard

That was my major too, graduated last year.

Is it not an average of 70% on your core classes to stay in honours? Thats how it is at my uni.

Average of higher than 70% in your core classes but minimum mark per class is a 60% in those core courses.

The Stats course requires a minimum 70% for the honours program, the only class like that in the program. Would be really upset if I don't get to stay in because of 1 class as my average is closer to a 78-80% than the 70% required.

This was grainy… only had my phone… but the view on approach at Copenhagen

This was one of my favourites from the air. The pilot took us up over Greenland to avoid some weather and it was beautiful

That looks really beautiful, I love it. I certainly hope I will be able to fly over Greenland at least once.

Oh, and flight from Brussels to Rome was also nice, we flew over Alps, it was beautiful view, we actually saw some ski resorts, and then a lot italian lakes. Not as beautiful as Canadian lakes I assume, but still nice view.

This forum saves my sanity at work, I've literally spent the last 4 hours reading through this and one other thread start to finish. (Thread about Hunter's drafting) I must say I enjoy and agree with what a lot of you guys say and I look forward to having future discussions with you all. :)

(Figured this was the best place to post this.)

Stats in Ryerson is seriously just reading the question right. If you have the crib-sheet you should be safe but in general, when it is multi choice its just practice that gets you it. I just had my midterm yesterday and it was all about freaking reading it to determine what it was all about. Felt bad since I dont think i'll get a good mark as the last one where i made one mistake...feels bad man.

Daredevil is a pretty amazing show. Watched 2 eps from s1 and I'm interested.

It's so good man, I love it and season 2 is even better! Binge watched it when i had the strep throat.

Also holy **** archer was awesome :yo:
