I have never really cared for celebrities deaths, I am just a pretty apathetic person though and in general don't get sad when people in my life die.

Went through a second playthrough of Life is Strange just for trophy hunting (3rd game I platinumed, with Borderlands 2 and MLB 15 being the two others (with Destiny and Rocket League very close)). Going through a second playthrough and exposing myself more towards the world and being able to look at things more rationally, I still love the game, but I undersold how big a copout the ending was. It wasn't just a copout, it was an illogical, rushed farce that left a bad taste to an otherwise masterpiece of a game.

Anyways, I'm planning on getting Tales of the Borderlands soon. Heard great things about it and love the franchise to death, so I'll give it a go.

Borderlands is so fun when you have 2-3 other friends to play through it with.

Anyone under the age of 30 probably thinks the same way. He's just the pancake man to me, really.

But no one can deny his extreme talent and amazing creativity. We've lost a musical prodigy.

Game. Blouses.

On a side note, the wife and I went to see Chappelle when he played the Danforth Music Hall back in...March I want to say? Dude is ripped! He was wearing a tank top and holy **** it was a gun show out there. Awesome show, well worth the $90 a ticket to see my favourite comedian.

Urgh... have been trying to fix comp issues all day, and dont want to reset to factory settings. Computer has been slow, especially when using chrome. I noticed for whatever reason mccafe had its firewall turned off so im concerned i may be having a malware/virus. I Scanned with adwcleaner, roguekiller, jrt, hitman pro and mccafe... but comp still slow with chrome! Im currently uninstalling chrome and may delete chrome related files.... does any comp savy people have any suggestions?

Have you tried turning it off, and then back on again?

Is it plugged in?

Yup and Yup. My previous scans detected and deleted some stuff, but chrome was still slowing down the computer (practically freezing it). I have uninstalled Chrome, and it appears to things are working at normal speed again. Hopefully the issue is gone, but I'm not convinced yet. Thanks for the reply.

Now the question is, should I re-instal chrome again? I like it better than Explorer/FireFox/Edge

Check the plug ins that Chrome is running.

Tab with the bars on the top right. Settings. Extensions. If not, you probably have some kind of spyware..

That or your comp is just a piece.

Could all of these running at the same time cause a problem at all? I know my cousins computer had 2 anti viruses running at the same time and the computer was pretty much useless. He deleted the one and the computer ran fine right after.

This is a new laptop that I got back in December, so it should still be fine. Once I decided to un-install Chrome, everything worked fine... so I decided to re-install Chrome, and then I was getting the same issues all over again. Likely a spyware issue?? I've uninstalled chrome again and I'll try to take care of it in the morning... :S Thanks!

I ran them all separately, hence been working on it all day. Quite a time consuming process! Thanks though :)

Could be something attached to Chrome. Check your task manager, when you open Chrome, see if anything else starts running.

Is anyone here a CPA or on there way to becoming one?

If so sorry to buzzkill this thread but a quick question...What is the purpose of capital cost allocation, undepreciated capital cost and its relation to depreciation and income tax?

2nd year accounting student here, never used those terms yet but after doing a quick google search of it my understanding (assuming capital cost allowance = capital cost allocation) is just another way of saying allocating depreciation over the useful life of an asset instead of writing it all on in one year.

In other words, my understand is it is just another way of saying depreciation of an asset. Now are you asking how depreciation relates to income tax? I am not sure what kind of background you have (just a general question on the topic or actually don't know?).

Thank you bolded portion was helpful...figured out its relation to tax and taxable/deductibles.
as for the background I've got a finance major; just working towards getting a CPA designation now

Hopefully next year;

Working in a finance department for a company doing billing analysis, warranty and lease PAD reconciliation. Numbers clearly are my life lol.

The pay ain't too great at the big four to start off but it's a fun ladder to climb

No problem.

I also plan on getting my CPA designation as well after school. Should be fun (?)

ha get as much of it as you can done with during school don't end up like me....I hated accounted because of rules and finance gave me freedom to do whatever I wanted with numbers..then I realized that getting a finance job might even be harder than getting an accounting job lol so here I am partially done the CFA and trying to finish the CPA

The CRA is hiring and look for CPA as they start higher up on the pay scale.

Would love to do that but would have to leave the Brampton base for Ottawa *yuck*

Your definition of fun is twisted. Looks great on the resume though from what I've heard. Not in finance anymore.
