I'm upset that I'll find out the end to the story off the TV show and not the books.

They're pretty far apart now.

GRRM has said theres already one MAJOR difference between the two which in no way can be reconciled.

Ya, we'll get the overarching story end as the showrunners understand it, but they're going to be different.

Aside from the escape or no?

if anyone of you have ever written in a book from the library. remind me to kick your butt later. I have to erase an entire textbook because some brainchild decided to underline and make notes on almost. EVERY. PAGE.

They were just helping out the person after them, they left all the important parts marked to save the next person time.

lol no grant, because i have to erase it all out!

Daisy I agree....

I went back to school and took some classes and mistakenly bought used text books...it drove me crazy that the person underline so many things....in pen. I tried using them but they seem to underline unimportant items...I used a highlighter and never bought a used text book again.

in pen?!

the only textbook i had to write in was my classification manual for library. (and that was actually used so there were already a lot of helpful hints in there). other than that - dude. NO. just take proper notes and highlighter stickers. then remove them when the year is done

in 1.5 hrs i did 1.5 pages. this book i is toast.

I bought a used textbook and it was loaded with pencil/pen/highlighter. I didn't really use the textbook too much and I paid less than half price for it so I was okay with it.

But ya, its so annoying. I generally buy my textbooks new but they are such a waste of money.

I just realized my 3 highest marks are going to be in classes I took 0 notes in and my 3 lowest marks are going to be in classes I wrote notes all class in...

I just started Game of thrones a bit ago, I am on season 2 as of right now, about half way through, maybe a touch more, I don't want to go to into details in case someone hasn't started and is thinking about it, or behind where I am. I am probably one of the few people on the planet who hasn't caught on with it yet.

So far I have to say this is one of my favourite shows ever, it'll be hard to trump Breaking Bad but loving it so far.

I love how no character is safe.

They still use textbooks? I thought everything is on-line now. Or on youtube.

In a previous millennium I used to buy used textbooks from failing students because they were in such good shape -- never read.

Generally the annotations in the well used books were helpful.

What I hate more than writing notes in library books is borrowers who take them in the bathtub or spread food on the. That really grosses me out. At that point, just pay for it: the book is yours.
