I've honestly only gotten to watch 2 leafs games this year because i didn't renew my season pass I haven't gotten to watch many out of market games here in Cleveland but isn't JVR playing pretty well with the kids from what I heard? Even though TOR is in a rebuild wouldn't you want at least one veteran forward to help move the kids along? Hartnell especially here for the jackets has been huge in progressing guys like Karlson Dano and Wennberg.

He's been alright, wouldn't say he that he's been the engine of his line but contributing and still putting up points.

It's hard to say right now whether he will be included in the rebuild, sort of on the bubble age wise, cap hit after next year will be bigger and our farm is really deep with wingers. On the other hand, he's big and we're deeper at RW than LW on the team and the farm

We have some veteran presence with Kadri who just signed for 6 years, plus there's Bozak and Komarov who may or may not be here for long

It's all in flux here and really depends on how well the team does in the short term, and how well the roster and non-roster prospects do. The system will likely be able to replace JVR with a comparable younger player in 4 years or so, but if we want to compete before that maybe he stays

I'd say JVR has been the worst player on the line. Bozak and Marner look to have a much better understanding of each other.

I guess that's fair in terms of what they've looked like, but in the context of a line that's put up 29pts and 13 goals in 13 games, the line has been contributing
