Soooo, let me see. We take quite a few minor penalties 200ft away from our net. We blunder the puck at least twice leading to goals against us. Our goalie is truly out played. And we win. Is that bad or good? GO LEAFS GO!!!!

Felt like Klingberg played 30 mins.
It was great fun to watch and it was nice to get a greasy, dirty win, but Samsonov please be much, MUCH better.

Impressive OT PK as well .. didn't over pursue, just kept the lanes blocked and didn't get Montreal anything in the middle of the ice.
that keep in by Klingberg that got us the tying goal was f***ing awesome!

Wow I can’t believe Samsonov stopped all 3 shootout attempts after the night he had!
Kudos to the buds not quitting despite being down 2 goals twice. Lots to cleanup but suck it MTL!

Pretty ugly win.
Samsonov was awful. #1 goaltenders need to make tough saves through traffic and he couldn't do anything tonight. Leafs didn't give him a lot of shots and a lot of them went in. Leafs gave the Habs 2 breakways due to Brodie blowing a tire and Liljegren whiffing on a pass, Samsonov needed to bail out his team on at least one of these.
Klingberg was pretty good and exactly what the Leafs needed. McCabe was pretty good too.
AM, MM and Bert started the game pretty badly but turned it up in the 2nd and 3rd. They were great. Bertuzzi could have scored 2-3 goals himself.
Nylander was fantastic. Domi was a ghost... barely involved.
I thought the fourth line played with purpose and the 3rd line of Minten, Knies and Jarnkrok was ok but definitely not as good as they were in pre-season.

Great fun game. Shaky moments from so many players of ours. Minten was def step behind the entire night, even Knies imo

Awesome #1 W for the season.
I just hope we don't get too used to outscoring our problems lol, D was indept for most of the game and Sammy hasn't looked good all preseason and tonight. Early days for sure, but we didn't look good defensively.
Either way, we won, celebrate, feel good, enjoy your evenings ladies and gents.
