Great game from the entire team! Where was this in October? I'm pleased that they got in shape in October to play this well in November and December! Maybe our players should actually train in the off-season and come ready to play in October!

I thought Durzi should have got a roughing penalty for getting his stick and gloves up in Engvall's face prior to him clubbing that little f***er! JMHO!

It was a great hit and nice to see a fight, but we were dominating to that point and it continued after. Felt more like the dam just broke than the fight inspiring anything
Said the same in the GDT. It was only a matter of time before they broke out. More of a coincidence than anything

After a terrible start to the season, and little support player scoring, the Leafs are now tied for 4th in goal differential in the NHL, +22. Boston and New Jersey are lapping the field, as both teams are off to ridiculous starts, but we're reeling them in. Shutouts will do that. And while correlation is not causation, I want to give props to Timmins. He's not afraid of the physical. Against Dallas, Benn, and tonight the same against Iafallo (?), plus the sequence off the face-off between Danualt and Kamph to the left of the Leafs net: a tough time getting a clean drop of the puck, Timmons playing the left wall, and when the play finally gets going the puck dances towards Samsonov, who scoops it up, and there was Timmins wheeling about in front of Sammy ready to bust any King who tried to crowd our net. He wasn't using his butt to protect, he was ready to dance. I like that.

I have watched this team for 20+ years, this was in terms of a single game performance probably in the top 10.

This is the goaltending I have ever and I watched Cujo, and Belfour.

What makes this goaltending better is not that they are better than Cujo or Belfour it's to early to say that.but they are both going and that never happens usually it's one and sometimes not even that.

Let me assure you they have NEVER been this committed to defense, how many games has the goaltending had to steal? Minnesota and MAYBE Dallas?

and even Dallas was 4-0 can you steal a 4-0 win?

So MAYBE 2.

2 all season what more can be expected?

This team is playing as well as I have ever seen

So...promote Kallgren for Saturday night and see if he also puts up a shutout? :sarcasm:

Congratulations to Samsonov on achieving his first shutout with the team. Hoping we can keep Brodie around too now that we've also won with him. ;)
Jokes aside, has that ever happened? A team get back to back to back shut outs with 3 different goalies?

Man, we’ve been playing some seriously f***ing good hockey since ~the end of October. You love to see it!

Only downside - that Nicky Bobby injury, sounds like a pretty legit shoulder injury, I’m guessing a separated shoulder :/

Yup. Just too small and a series of unfortunate back to back to back major injuries. Not the first but heart breaking.
Now do Robertson

The only good thing that may come out of this is that it may finally be Anderson at 2LW season.

But they will probably give it to Steeves instead.

Neither are good enough for 2LW
