Post-Game Talk: Leafs beat Connor Hellebuyck 4-3, end 3 game skid in OT

A playoff style, "don't give up" win. They have supreme confidence, overcoming an insane goalie performance and an absurd, egregious non-call in OT.

Just get the 2 points and justice has been served.

They're the second best team in the division, were just on another level when we decide to play
Yup I have them number 2 as well.

Their defense can't control our offense as we come in waves. Helly is the saving grace for them and if his magic ever runs out they're in a lot of trouble.

It matters when his save percentage on the season is around .900% and his save percentage in most games this season have been under .900%. Team has been lights out good this season offensively and defensively has been superb as well.

The finger SHOULD be pointed at the weakest link, Andersen is that and the sole reason we lost the game prior to this one.
How about we just celebrate this win. And that dirty Matthews backhander, watching it still makes me feel electrified. Our big boys came to play and we won, just celebrate and move on, if a bad game comes and we lose, then bring it up

Seriously if not for Hellebuyck the Jets would be on the outside looking in. Holy shit they really are terrible defensively. Chances galore and they only stay in games cause Helle performs miracles.

Nah, WPG is a very good team and Helly doesn't play like that every night. They showed the numbers at one point during the broadcast, at that point Helly was something like .940 against us this season and .909 against the rest of the league.

For point of reference, just 3 games ago, Andersen was at .909 for the season.

It's the reason why they lost to Montreal 7-1 a few games ago...if Helle doesn't play well, they don't win.
