Oh, instigators are called. They’re just never called against the other team. Just against the Rangers.

But only here can you find fans that are convinced we can trade someone and then sign them back in the off season

They do need something beyond what they have, and Dubas does not seem like shy type when it comes to making moves. Kreider would be a yuuuge boost to any team, kind of hope not but have to blanket my statement with the proverbial "if the return is enough".
 
Our d are doing a great job of taking away high quality chances. Watching the game you can appreciate that Quinn had them prepared. 3 or 4 times I've seen pionk take away Austons tow drag and shoot on the pp by blocking towards the middle of the ice.

We arent trading Kreider....they already moved their 1st rounder...its not happening. I think it's fairly obvious the leafs need a right side dman

Edit: Probably not happening, and not something I believe is (speaking of Leafs here). As for Kreider being traded, hmm definitely possible.
 
First, good on Pionk for answering the bell there. He didn't need to, but he was challenged and he didn't back down.

As to the instigator, it wouldn't really apply there. IMO. Hyman may have skated over and pushed him and goaded him, but that was a clear-cut situation of two guys sizing each other up, deciding to go, and dropping them. Hyman didn't force Pionk into anything. Had Neal skated away and Hyman pursued him, maybe, but that's not what happened. Neal knew what he was doing.
