Brady is a very good all-round hockey player, but he's not near good enough to carry a 4th line fighter on his line. If it's the case where we need an enforcer, you just have to throw out the 4th line as it is.

I like Watson but I'd like an actual fighter on this team.

out of context, Chara memory from a game I was at: Ottawa hosts the Kings. At some point in the game, some troglodyte enforcer from the kings decides to beat up Chris Kelly of all people. Chara, who is not on the ice, stands and stares daggers at the guy.

Chara comes out for a faceoff in the Kings zone, points at Tim Gleason basically saying "it's you". On the way to the box Chara point at the already penalized troglodyte indicate "that was all your fault"

But what happens when Brady is the one that gets hit? Schenn went knee on knee with him, nobody does shit.

We may have a cohesive locker room, but Brady is the only one policing anything, I can't recall a time where someone stood up for him this season.

That was an accident IMO Shenn was doing his job & their knees happen to hit, I doubt it was done on purpose the game is too fast now & most players know when something is done on purpose or not. Watson & Kastelic are the enforcers on this team & Sabourin when he gets called up, I think it's possible Sabourin could replace Watson for next season. It's a very tough job & not everyone wants to do it or can do it, anyone who has ever been in a real fight knows how dangerous it can be & the chances of getting hurt if you don't know how to handle yourself can be quite high. And I doubt the coaches want their best players fighting, it is a dying part of hockey. Ottawa has a tough team that should only get tougher as they mature & they add a few of our tougher prospects & can defend each other by committee. Tough game last night which I thought they dominated most of the game & the Leafs got all the lucky bounces & Ottawa did not, it happens.
