I wonder if he ever played in Ted Reeve Areana...... Every time I drive by there(my parents live on Danforth) I am like I wonder if any NHLers came out that arena...... That area is still such an old school area.... Still has a very 80s feel

Geographically makes sense. Penny had her Olympics celebration parade at Woodbine and Danforth a couple of years ago and she was a Monarch Park superstar.

Love what bunting brings to this team, but let’s face it, anyone playing with Matthews/Marner will get a ton of points.
Hyman got a huge contract because of it.

chip it up the boards, at least it’s out and it gives our guys a chance to change. Out is better than back in. There was literally no one behind him anyways. So move it forward. If Muzzin was there i could understand. But he was throwing it back into open space, might as well move the puck forward especially if there is a forecheck coming. Why would you put it back in your zone with gassed guys only to get hemmed in once again?

what’s worse? Neutral zone turnover with numbers or a defensive zone turnover with guys changing?

I'd rather not ice the puck with a tired unit on. You're not getting a light chip by two guys sealing off the boards, that clear would need to be hard enough to go the distance to get through.

They didn't get hemmed in, the puck took a freak bounce. There was no one harassing where the D should have been, they'd have time to hold and change by the time the forecheckers at the blueline got to them. It's a nothing play that looks bad because of a freak bounce, if anything I'd be calling out his backcheck following it not the decision itself.

Time for the TV to go mute for 15 minutes.

Really, you should change the channel. If you really want them to make changes to the format, that is the best way to do it. They could care less if you have it on mute. Might as well just watch it at that point. They make the same money either way.

What does a bunch of clowns ice fishing have to do with hockey

Eh they had turned over the puck so many times. Dead tired and Willy shoulda known everyone was on their way off. He could have got to center.

I assumed they'd come out good after feeling like they should have won the last game. I get more concerned playing an "easy" team after a string of wins.
Well they didn’t disappoint tonight that’s for sure

We should get another defenseman if only because Muzzin is completely unreliable to stay healthy during the playoffs. Christ the man gets sneezed on and he’s out of the lineup.

I just don't see the safe route to get it to center, they had really good body position on him. Sure you could try and you'd get it through sometimes, but odds are you end up on your ass while 2 or 3 of them come the other way in the middle of your line change.

It’s great watching Matthews/Marner together but they won’t win in the playoffs with one line.
Tavares will score if Marner is there to set him up and Matthews/Nylander will still be a huge threat.
