thats my point. If JT line can score a goal but then give one (or more) away then thats not productive or net benefit. JT should realize that he isn't fast enough to play center anymore when league is getting faster and faster every year; he should just start playing wing and take center position in case of injuries

or Keefe could put JT on the 3rd line to get three offensive lines going. Willy is struggling and we need Nylander to keep firing on all cylinders. The amount of chances JT has missed that Willy fed him in the last few games is too many and JT has also been to slow to react in the defensive zone
Not a bad idea

Adam Larsson would be another nice add. Never really panned out as an impact defenseman but the size and skills are all there with the physicality to handle the heavy traffic. Too bad he makes too much money.

Hopefully I don't jinx the kids, but Liljegren/Sandin is looking like a bonafide top 4 the last few games.

For D they are both so young too. No one should put a limit on these guys. They could be Dermott who never progress or they could be like several other D who got better and better and became top pairing D by 25.

I remember the Lidstorm comparisons. Not by Oilers brass or fans but by scouts

Eh does he? Trade Holl for him they wanted him lol. Get rid of Ritchie it's a done deal.

Nylander has the boards on one side and 2 forwards in front and beside him at his own blueline and more in the neutral zone, where is he supposed to go with the puck to gain center?

chip it up the boards, at least it’s out and it gives our guys a chance to change. Out is better than back in. There was literally no one behind him anyways. So move it forward. If Muzzin was there i could understand. But he was throwing it back into open space, might as well move the puck forward especially if there is a forecheck coming. Why would you put it back in your zone with gassed guys only to get hemmed in once again?

what’s worse? Neutral zone turnover with numbers or a defensive zone turnover with guys changing?

We are so much mo gangsta, richer, our personel, human beings... talent. They dirt. They poor drafting citizens...... do a better job. Choosing those players available to repreasent your club..... a very poor job by francis, ron. His team is really losing errrrnight. Errrrr night. They allowing goals like crazy. Their gezoalies ain't making a save at all. Draft better, and learn by us. Not from y'all.

Colour analysts used to lace their chatter with clever funny wit and self-deprecating humour (eg. Harry Neale). Only Jim Ralph does this now. Every other "colour" guy is dry, humourless, and simply tells me in boring obvious terms what I already saw. I watch most games with the tv sound off.

Neale and Bowen used to have great dialog.

Good period from the Leafs.

Nice to see Tavares throwing some hits on the forecheck.

Bunting has been a great addition to the team. Replaced Hyman very nicely.

Well JT was never really built on a speed game. But I do get what you're saying. Not sure splitting Willy and JT will be the right move though. They did try that earlier in the year, albeit for only 2-3 games, and it didn't look great from what I remember.

You think Nylander centering JT, or Kerfoot centering Nylander? Kerfoot in the playoffs worked at center, but he seems more effective on the wing overall.

I used to love their vintage stories. Probably I didn't grow up in that era so I had no idea of knowing
That's what I love about Ray Ferraro, he always tells stories from the 80s. When we all know hockey culture was just different

I wonder if he ever played in Ted Reeve Areana...... Every time I drive by there(my parents live on Danforth) I am like I wonder if any NHLers came out that arena...... That area is still such an old school area.... Still has a very 80s feel
Not positive but I think the Drydens played there
