my christmas wish is that we stop giving Brad Richards 5 minutes of PP time in a single game

Ya know what? I can sort of understand why Kreider wasn't played in the OT. From the fans, we focus on the positives in players like Kreider, e.g. scoring and puck control and offensive abilities 4-on-4 etc.

To AV, or any coach, his liabilities is the first thing they need to worry about. He hasn't been shy from bad penalties at key times as well as floating out of defensive positions.

Why put Kreider out there in the OT even strength when there's a SO available?

I can understand it, I suppose.
Eh I dont agree. His defense has been much better this year. in fact this game along he made good defensive plays when toronto had good scoring chances. Also lets be honest kreider has take some bad penlties BUT he has often gotten hit with bogus penalties too

Good result, the Leafs got a cheap goal but deserved a point. Rangers battled a little harder and WON!

Nice Christmas Gift from the Rangers to the fans :xbg:

I don't entirely agree either but from AV's perspective, if he has doubts about Kreider in 4 on 4 open ice situations, he has other options. He's one ingredient that MIGHT spoil the entire pot. 0 ice time is a bit.... harsh especially with the PP against PIT.

Does something like that ever happen to Marc-Andre Fleury?

Another piece of evidence pointing to the league's bias against the Rangers.

kreider has been better than nash defensively and in the one game i remember him playing in overtime against calgary he was a force in OT. had a couple really good chances because of his defense. nash almost gave the game away by trying a ridiculously stupid move in the neutral zone instead of making a smart play. kreider should be getting time in OT and it shudnt be debatable.

Hopefully Rick and Henrik will benefit from a break. If we can get an improvement from the two players who are suppose to be the best in their respective positions on our team, post Christmas will be easier.

Don't know what game you were watching. Toronto didn't deserve a point...maybe Bernier did, but not the Leafs.

The fact they got a point is a travesty, and Philadelphia, Carolina, the Devils, Columbus, etc. ALL should be livid!

Nash still stinks. Stepan still stinks. Richards still stinks. Girardi still stinks. Del Zotto still stinks. Lundqvist still stinks. Vigneault still stinks. Sather still stinks. And soon, the Rangers will have Callahan and Staal back to still stink for them. How much of the team's cap space is tied up in players that, at best, have been sub-mediocre?

Zucc is the best offensive player on the ice every game. Mack for the defense.

If you were to watch any Ranger game and not know who the players are or what their salaries are, you would think Nash is a 3rd or 4th line player. Except everyone on the fourth line outplays him. Mr. invisible.

If only we could trade Nash and Richards for 10 more Zucc's. We would still save a bunch of money.

That was the worst goal call of all time. Why didn't the whistle blow? He could not see the puck.
