My 3 stars are Zuke, Talbot, and McDonagh.

Would have been Miller, but I think what McDonagh did in OT might have been defensive play of the year.

It's a win. Talbot with a good game. Bernier was kind of spectacular at least until the shootout. Found it interesting that Kreider didn't see the ice in OT. If It weren't for him setting up Miller we would not have scored at all. As to the Leafs goal--as I stated recently I'm done for at least the time being *****ing about the referees or the War room in Toronto. Rangers will either find a way to overcome on their own or they're just going to have to take the consequences.

Why Stepan got the third star I'm not sure--not that it matters a lot--but Zucc, Miller, Kreider, McDonagh IMO would all have been better choices.

Al gives Nash the cold shoulder when he ran down the shootout sequence. Al knows what's up.

Nash was playing a solid game until overtime where he just lost his brain again. Still, not enough where I could award him with a Redden.

I think the Redden was J Moore who made some brutal passing decision a few times in the game. Kid needs to learn where to move the puck in pressured situations.

I'm glad Kadri scored. I was rooting for it. This way, all the Lundqvist haters won't have a SO to shove down all of our throats over the holidays :sarcasm: Merry Christmas right there for me.

Bernier didn't have to stand on his head because as usual we had 402 shots, and about 4 of them were actual good scoring chances, the rest were right in his chest.

I don't think so.

I think, in the 2nd period especially, MZA and company generated some quality scoring chances.

I think without Bernier, we have 3 or 4 goals on the board by the end of the 3rd period, and that Kadri goal is a non-issue.

That 2nd period was just about as good as we looked all season.

Also, AV needs to get burned for not playing CK in OT.

Here's what I'm not understanding...yes, he took the delay of game penalty, but that's a physical mistake..puck could have been on edge, it happens. But, Kreider prior to that made a superb defensively, coming back with a fierce backcheck to break up a scoring opportunity.

Ya know what? I can sort of understand why Kreider wasn't played in the OT. From the fans, we focus on the positives in players like Kreider, e.g. scoring and puck control and offensive abilities 4-on-4 etc.

To AV, or any coach, his liabilities is the first thing they need to worry about. He hasn't been shy from bad penalties at key times as well as floating out of defensive positions.

Why put Kreider out there in the OT even strength when there's a SO available?

I can understand it, I suppose.

I though both Nash and Richards had pretty good games. It would have been great if they scored (and Bernier stopped some very good chances), but they set up some good plays and were good in their own end. Not brilliant by any stretch, but I'm not sure why there's so much hate inn this thread (except for the whole "it's the internet" thing).
