Sandin destroys Wheeler with a clean hit. Jets retaliate by going after our captain with a cross check to the face.

And we're the dirty team?

Meh. Can't blame the Jets for responding after what happened to Lowry the other night. Everyone is on edge. Simmonds and Foligno are going to have have to take care of the boys before the night is out. No Hyman or Bogosian in the lineup makes the Leafs a little bit less capable in that department, but no Lowry in the lineup means the same for the Jets.

How does a cross check to the jaw of a star player go uncalled in this league?

Because Leafs already have a PP and in the backwards, Neanderthal NHL tradition, it takes a min. of a potential season ending play, if not, a career ending play for the second call to occur.

We have all been conditioned to this creepy standard. It's insulting and keeps the game in the Dark Ages

For such a small weak guy Sandin really can step up & throw a good hit, whether it be big like the Wheeler hit or just an effective hit on the opposition.

Will be great for him if he can add some strength/power.

im sure Maurice will find some way to cry about the wheeler hit post game
" ahh yeah i didnt like how sandin's back ran into our wheeler , it was a dirty play "
boo hoo hoo hoo

Leafs are leading so it can't be called according to 'game management'.

The league wouldn't want the refs to 'decide the game', you know, like how the Leafs now have to play clean or get penalized while the Jets are free to cross check people in the face. That of course, has NO effect on the game. /sarcasm

Know what Sandin is saying, AHL has been fine.

But here is where I belong

Folks, anyone here come across a badger......

Well it seems we have one.

This guy is a dman's bobby schmautz

Schmautz, was 155 lbs soaking wet in blood. No Leaf player ever got close to this guy.

This kid has nice skills but he wants to hurt people.

Lets face it, that is an allstar in the NHL, always was, always will be.

lay off the 6 paper joints, ricky

Two thoughts:

- That Gally penalty was hilarious. Pionk totally interferes with him and we get the call. Gotta call something I guess.
- Sandin! Loving him more and more. LOL @ that play against Wheeler. Welcome to the bigs Blake! Haha.

Simmer will be dropping em tonight I think. Intensity is going to keep going up. Glad we have a guy like him. Crazy how he isn't like a Matt Martin or Colton Orr...yet he has so much respect when it comes to toughness. He's a lanky 6'2" but he just knows how to scrap. He doesn't seem to get many takers when he does stuff, such as what he was doing to Dubois last night. Man can scrap, and others know it
