Rewatching the game, that first penalty where Schenn touches Stamkos on the arm and he acts like he was hit in the face... Maybe that is why they didn't call the later embellishment for the slight stick tap near the ear?

Samsonov had some real shaky moments in this series but he also stepped up huge in numerous big moments and I think it's clear his overall talent level is a tier above Campbell or Andersen.

This series win should be huge for his overall confidence.
He let in a couple of bad goals (so did Vasi), but overall played well.

I wonder what his GAA would have been with about 92 fewer minutes of ice time for Holl? (Not that I'm blaming Holl for everything.)

I didn't see the game.

Its true. I was at a concert with my wife. Of course i was keeping an eye on the game.

Question for Leaf Fans:

How did Gustafson/Liljegren do?

More importantly how was Keefe's 7 Eleven?

I don't want to hear about Holl. I want to hear about the other guys.
It worked well last night. Both Gus and Lilly were good and didn’t cost the Leafs any goals.
I think Keefe will most likely go with 12/6 in Game 1 and don’t see Holl being in the line up unless injuries. If Keefe goes 11/7, Holl might come in as a PK specialist

That goal was not Gus's fault. That was Knies and a bad rebound by Sammy. Gus actually played really well, provided much needed mobility back there

It's not easy for Gus and Lilly to come into a game 6 without having to play last 3 weeks
It was the team's fault ultimately, yeah knies got it taken from him but that's not a glaring error. It was the majority of the defense to blame mainly Gus but Gio lost his man as well.

5on5 and two Tampa players are alone in front of your net on both the left and right side, regardless of where that rebound goes it's going to a Tampa player. I don't see how you can call a shot off the pads a bad rebound what was he supposed to do? He's in the middle of the net at the top of the crease where he should be, how is he supposed to deflect a shot in the middle of the net at the top of the crease behind him and into the corner?

Samsonov is the last person to blame for that goal. Horrible defense and horrible covering led to that goal not Samsonov's rebound.

PK did fine without Holl yesterday and that was with our regular penalty killers in the box (Schenn and then Brodie)

I finally can change my avatar !!!

No more of my dog wearing the 'Leafs Suck' t-shirt !!!

Thank You Taveras, and the rest of our Leafs, for winning a 1st round series !!!
