Confirmed with Link: Leafs acquire Jake McCabe (@50%), Sam Lafferty, cond. 2024 and 2025 5th round picks for Joey Anderson, Pavel Gogolev, 2025 1st (top 10 prot), 2026 2nd

So leafs added ROR, Lafferty, Acciari, and McCabe. And Tampa added a 5 point guy?

so on the main boards other fans can shit on the Leafs and there fans as much as they want but your not allowed to mention anyone elses fanbase? I must have missed that in the tos

Yes I know what your saying, DRAMA. i didn’t ask you whats more important draft picks or FA, I asked what the conditions are in the picks. If you know then post it, if not, then don’t. Simple BUD!
Still struggling I see.:naughty:

It's pathetic. The same folks who criticize the Leafs and their defense for being soft or not deep enough are now changing goal posts saying how Dubas is mortgaging the future and that these players are overrated and replacement level.

Really adds speed to a lineup that lacks it from the depth players. He basically will replace a lot of what we lost in Mikheyev.
with way better hands and scoring ability

thank god mikeyev is gone i hated watching that guy

Why waive and lose a solid player when you could just trade that player instead? And for Murray to come off LTIR, the player would have to be waived the previous day.

Sure, if you could get something back for them. But the people I’m quoting are acting like both he and kerfoot are negative assets

Muzz but a little bit of a sloppyier d-man. Still good but Muz is a solid 3, McCabe is just a notch below Muzz.

SCOUTING REPORT

Is not a big point producer along the blueline but does an adequate job of getting the puck out of danger, which can lead to scoring chances. His defense-first style of play makes him a good fit alongside an offensive partner. He can play heavy minutes at even strength, kill penalties and even take an occasional turn on the power play.

It will be interesting to see how he fits. I would agree young Muzz was better offensively but since coming to the Leafs that has not been as apparent. I kind of think the results could be quite similar. Remember except for Muzzin's last season he spent his whole career with pretty strong LA clubs and then to TO. Two of the three years Muzzin's Kings missed the playoffs they had still 39 and 40 wins. I don't think McCabe has ever played on a team that won more than 35 games. I have high hopes he may have another gear playing on a club that isn't getting caved as often but I guess we'll know soon enough.

The Leafs are a much deeper, tougher, stronger, better team today than they were 2 weeks ago.

They've achieved that without subtracting from their active roster, or giving up any of their top prospects.

That's a huge success in my books - it's now upto the players to figure it out.

This is what it's all about. No question about it; we're going for it!

What a set of trades.

Bring it home, boys, bring it home!
