Domi gets gritty in those tight areas but can still make plays .. and Bert's style plays well off of that. It helps open ice up for Matthews. In turn, Matthews' doesn't have to share the puck with Marner when it comes to carrying the play.
Bertuzzi was quite an effective asshole tonight I found, he's really getting under a few Bruins' skin already.

No, Marchand just needs to get hit every shift just like this. Florida had him hobbled last year.
Forgot to mention this guy as well. This almost 40 year old is going to break his back if he tries to go toe to toe with the heavy game we are playing.

I don't see his finesse game being a difference maker either. His tanks empty. One of our big D will pummel him if he tries to cycle

We're doing the slow beat down we never had the luxury of having in our past runs, if you want to even call them runs.

What did Pasta do besides his one goal? He went back to the bench red faced and hunched over all other times.

Their roster sucks. We're going to round 2. Don't panic.
Appreciate your optimism.

I can’t believe how soft Boston has become.

Instead of physically punishing Toronto like in the past, they’re resorting to flopping and diving in a desperate hope to draw penalties.

Marchand gets slashed by Bert on his right leg, then does a stop/drop/roll on the ice clutching his left leg.

What an embarrassment - - it’s great to see the Bruins turning into cream puffs.

matthews has had marner on his wing until now, marner hasnt gotten involved in a scrum in his life and was a big reason that matthews hasnt been normal auston imo. matthews at least gets involved physically.

Years Matthews would push back and end up having 2,3, players surround him with face washing without help...

Ever since Bert and Domi, he has had a larger presence in net.

The exact kind of game the Leafs needed. Dug in and played hard all night.. admirable win.

Lyubushkin's an airhead though.
There's definitely something that gets said or something. McCabe went absolutely mental on Marchand earlier in the season. And then Lub tonight just going way over the top.

Edmundson seems to have the perfect mix of dirty, cross checking, shoving and not taking a penalty.

Nope.. creativity is at a premium in the playoffs. Making quick plays in chaos is key, and Domi is good at that. Look at that winner. QB'd that pass perfectly for Matthews to get a break

Yep. I don't need the full suite of Darryl Belfry skill development plays, C-cuts and hold it for it to be a good play. Just make the right play quickly and effectively.
