How do you guys feel towards this whole Idle No More movement?
I don't understand it 100% but I just want to say it's much harder to be native right now, much moreso than it was before.
I've been getting more and more dirty looks from random people just walking around, even in some shops (smaller mom and pop type places) I'm gettin crappy service or getting refused completely and kicked out of the store.
Got told to "go back to your tribe you dirty Indian" for the first time ever today, like wtf man.
That's not even the worst of it, it's making the news here that a native lady was kidnapped and sexually assaulted and that a native student was picked up by cops and dropped off and left way on the outskirts of town in the cold.
Just this week two of my friends were jumped and attacked by groups of people and had to go to the hospital, and I've heard similar stories from many others.
Like damn, people can suck![]()

I know that it sucks but I agree with Hurt on this one, a certain group of people should not be special treatment over others. People just have to learn to change. Also if it is that bad you should carry a blade with you at all times.
I'd suggest moving away from that area when you can, anyways. It's a well known fact Northern Ontario is quite racist.
Is it like that in western Ontario too, or only northern?
Ouch
Where have you been LR?
Lol been here and there dude, been a bit depressed of the late so sort of in my quiet zone.
Kamo that's brutal brother, and Hurts bang on.
LOL so voldemort wants to get into kamo's pants.
All that stuff isn't fair but I think that's a garbage movement and I'm not a fan of special treatment for ANYONE. Why does one group get so much special treatment over others? At some point, it's up to the people to better themselves than depending on the government. We're all immigrants at some point and everyone struggled to get where they are (no matter how far up the social ladder that is) and I think that's the way it should be; You get what you struggle and strive and work for.
