Le sigh. On to the next. Kings lose to MIN 4-1

The Kings got too relaxed at that Finnish Spa. That mindset carried over to the start of the game. I would of rather they went through a gauntlet! Gotta keep their edge.

Doughty looks fried! He's gotta have dead arms or something. His shot has no bite.

Today was the game that every call went against us. The league did this so it wasn't obvious that they are trying to force us into the playoffs. They knew we could absorb this loss.

nah, the league obviously wants us to just barely miss the playoffs so they can rig the lottery and give us McDavid.

I said the exact same thing on the replay. Suter sold the **** out of that and the refs bought it. Toffoli makes zero effort to impede Suter in that situation. His stick was just in the worst possible position. Suter knew it, felt the blade in his skate and sold the trip. A damn shame the refs bought it but whatever.

It wasn't even the worst call in the game. The Wild penalty killer that played the puck out of their zone with an obviously broken stick should been an auto-call.

Let's just hope we get a better crew in Chicago.

Well, we still got a 5 on 3 when Suter slashed the stick out of Marty., but yeah it sure was played with a broken stick.

ok just watched the highlights man did we do everything but score holy moley wild should be lucky they won dang son

Yeah, the highlights packages are really flattering ot the Kings. The Wild were resilient, though. Kings maybe deserved a better fate (how often have we had to say that this year?) in general but they decided to hand the other team a two goal handicap, and that's not gonna help.

If this happens, I'll resign.

It's not a backbreaker. We were going to lose games on this trip. If we take Chicago out, it's 100% successful road trip.

This could have easily been a 1-4 or 2-4 trip with the opponents on the list. Right now we're 3-1. That's damn good.

Yup, I told myself 3-2 is a success with the teams we were facing and just to be stronger down the stretch. Coming out of this 4-1 would be FANTASTIC.

Yeah I'm more confident in the Kings when they're facing some form of adversity  so glad Sekera's around to start eating up Doughty ' s minutes

I think we all thought if we got 6 out of 10 points it would be pretty successful, so far we have. If we can get 1 point out of Monday's game, we've accomplished our goal on this brutal trip. There are 6 points that should be automatic with the 2 EDM games and 1 Avs game, lets hope they take advantage of the opportunity .

I think the Minutes played, have finally caught up to Drew Doughty. Doughty's last 15 GP:

15GP: 0G 6A 6P -5. Struggling.

If we keep playing at this level I'm not worried. We can beat anyone in the league.... Still.. have to, you know, actually beat them though.

If you got a point for shooting the puck into the shin pads of an opposing player, Doughty would be this generations Paul Coffey.

Always seem to be the guy that decides "This dominating shift has gone on long enough...time for me to put an end to it with a horrible shot."

Drew's also firing too many one timers when there is plenty of time, and they always go wide. He needs to take his time and use a wrister or snap shot, or even pass.

Main board has some of the dumbest mother****ers I've seen in my life. I had to go find that post.

Basically why I don't waste my time there.

Looks like the Kings are getting close to what I used to call "Laka-hata" status. Well, they are a Los Angeles-based team, after all.

What's odd is that this happened after Dean picked up another defenseman to help take the load off. Sekera has been brilliant and Sutter is playing him about 20:00 a night against tough assignments. He's certainly taken some of Drew's burden away but Drew is playing the worst hockey of his season since the trade.

Weird.

You know what? I went back and that's a borderline dive on Suter. Not worth complaining about now and I can see why it wasn't called, but he knew the refs were looking that way after the crosscheck and instead of hopping 'out' of the trip which would have been easy he hopped as if Toffoli lifted his leg. It is what it is, just a bad break in a tight game.

I sat behind the net and it was a blatant dive. Even my cousin and her husband admitted it was and they're 15 year season ticket holders.

You get your stick caught in the skates of the opposing player, you are going to get called for tripping about 100% of the time. It's a no-brainer for the ref and the easiest call he had to make all night.

Don't care if he dived or not. That penalty on Toffoli is going to get called. And the ref is going to look like a moron if he calls embellishment on Suter. That's the bottom line.
