Interesting. I wonder if this should be looked at as a positive turn of events? Like is his outlook for recovery better knowing this is a situation going back to his birth rather than an injury?U20 coach Bragin told that Zamula just had some kind of a birth defect, not an injury.

Hope you are right. He's a nifty prospect.I think so, an injury is usually worse than something like that.
Returning to Zamula's injury, he told in an interview that he was feeling back pains for a long time, but both in Canada and in Russia MRIs didn't show anything and only in Philadelphia after the WJC they did some deep diagnostics and found that there was a slight fracture of three vertebras. Now he is recovering and feeling well, but will start training again only in June.
He’s been in the bubble for the playoffs. Not sure if they’ll send him to KHL now or save for AHL.
Yes, fully recovered. He got some PT in the round robin
I think by them having him in the bubble and allowing him to play in the exhibition against Pittsburgh was an indicator they believe he could be close. I wouldn’t be surprised is they keep him up with the team this year.
Bourne is UFA, so there is a spot available. Competition is between Ghost, who could be traded based on his usage, Haag, Friedman, and Morin (not likely at this point), and Zamula for spots 6 and 7. If Ghost or another D gets traded, there is a spot for Zamula at 5, or 6. He wont be kept as a number 7. Haag and Friedman are both good number 7s.They can loan him somewhere in Europe where they can call him back since the NHL season will likely start later. I still think he could use a year before he cracks an NHL roster and Philly is pretty deep on D, so it wouldn't be worst thing if he spends all season even in Europe given the Covid situation and those other factors.
Everything I read he was one of Philly's steadier D in camp up until the injury. Flyer fans can weigh in, but if healthy and playing well I'd assume he's one of their first D callups when required.Still out with a groin problem. Did he impress sufficiently at camp to be called up from Lehigh Valley ? I hope so. Bright prospect for Team Russia.
I'm not a flyers fan, but Cam York will kick Zamula as soon as possible. Against York only one thing - Tort's system.Flyers fans, how's this kid doing so far?
